It's amazing how many symptoms there are! I read that there are over 100 symptoms of Lyme Disease! Crazy!

I just wanted to let you know that not all people who have Lyme Disease get a rash. In fact 60-70% of people never develop a rash. Never.

Thanks, always. Yes, at the top of the symptoms it mentions under *The Tick Bite* that fewer than 50% recall a tick bite or get/see the rash.

Right-o. "The great Imitator" like syphilis once was, or T.B.
The reason is that this is a bacteria which looks and behaves like a corkscrew--it can penetrate any organ or area of the body whatsoever, and set up housekeeping where ever it pleases. Therefore the illness and symptoms depend entirely upon whatever organ system or area of the body just happens to be suffering damage, scarring, or inflammation from hosting this little invasion. It could be any part of your brain, nerves, joints, muscles, intestinal tract, genito-urinary, or lymphatic-immune systems as the most popular contenders. Or any combination of the above...

sure... in my sophmore year in highschool i woke up paralyzed... my whole body was burnin
this happened everyday for about 3 hours for 4 months when i wasnt paralyzed my hands felt like there was needles pierced through wrists and i walked very stiff

my mom rushed me to the er room the first day it happened they tested me for lyme and a whole bunch of other things
everything came back negative my mom thought i had lyme bc of an email she got a year earlier. the drs had meetings about me.. they yelled and screamed at my mom saying i didnt have lyme. i went to a nuerologist and he said i was depressed but i knew that wasnt true... they wanted to put me in yale hospital. but i never went bc we found a infectious disease who gave me medicine for lyme.. i got worse once i was on the meds.. which is the way you should react to medicine when it works. from there i went to a specialist i had to get home tutoring through the end of highschool so i neveer had a graduation.. my short term and long term memory is effected i can not remember anything.. before i was sick my memory was fantastic!!! there was a point where i could not read anymore all the letters would jumble up... i always have involuntary movement...my left side of the brain was effected and causes me to have adhd.. my balanced is messed up...my processing has been effected its slower so i had to have special accommadation for me with the sats and anyother test i had to take... my hearing and vision gets bad sometimes because of and sometimes i get the post morning paralysis

i have like 2 pages filled with symptoms i cant remember most of them and im use to being sick

i hate when i get sick with a cold or something and my lyme gets worse

lymes can be a terrible imitator of neurological diseases. neurotoxins wear down entire system and brain. the neurological attacks i have can be bad, the physical kind. pink welcome to our growing board. and please continue to post. (LC)
