| I have been wondering about the protocol for lyme in Germany ever since Katinka mentioned that she was trying a new treatment protocol for her M symptoms. I am not sure that this is THE protocol she is following, but this pdf does outline how at least some German doctors are treating their lyme patients. I got this link in an email today. The German Borreliosis Society guidelines in this file are in English. It is very detailed treatment information about lyme and co-infections along with medications used, but there is no mention of a mystery parasite being involved: borreliose-gesellschaft.de/Texte/guidelines.pdf

Thank you for this. I got my lyme test today. All they would do is the eliza, but its better than nothing. What lyme test did they do on you? |

| Nevermind i looked it up. Its the test that looks for the dna of the spirochete. I was tested eliza with the coinfections, and with the unreliability of the eliza, i wonder if i can test positive for the coinfections even without testing positive for lyme. It would indicate a false negative. Im just hoping to get an accurate test and have little faith in the eliza. |

| Western blot from Lab Corp and the Igenex panel. Both these blood tests for lyme were positive (though the ID guy I saw said the infection was not current, so I take that to mean chronic). I only tested positive for lyme at that time (six years ago) not the co-infections that were also tested. I understand from speaking with those at Igenex recently that the test for the co-infections has changed somewhat since my panel was done. The interpretation has too. If you can I would get an Igenex run as it is usually a bit more accurate but false negatives are always possible with lyme since it can hide in the immune system. It would also be good to learn at some point if the newest lyme test on the market actually pans out as is claimed as far as superiority. I am always leery of new tests done by labs I have not heard that much about. quote=Pollyringworm;87398]Thank you for this. I got my lyme test today.
