How did you cure yourself of Lyme?

I have started a super healthy diet, and I still need to get more healthy stuff.

What is your story, how are you doing, what do you suggest?

I do not know if I have lyme or not, but I do know I have M.

Thanks

Fables you may have already found but there are two dominant herbal (read: you can buy the products online and DIY) protocols on lyme, dr. zhang and stephen buener (sp?) google those guys, the main herbs are artemesia annua, andrographis, reversatol (knotweed) ...and lyme has all the cysts and coinfections etc if starting on that route i say mixing some triphala powder (indian ayurveda blend of 3 herbs) and drinking it every night is good for anyone, lyme or not.

I know you want to imagine the word CURE, you will hear it many times in many ways, some people just spit it out.

CURED, give me a week of treating their body and I will uncover their CURED.

I will take a bet with ANY CURED PERSON.

Default question about coconut oil

BO - i was just reading this entire thread and came across the coconut oil. I do eat a tablespoon nearly every day. However, when I used to apply it to my scalp/skin the creepy/crawlies would escalate. Although, that was back when we had bird mites (pre-morgs) - and I know your deal about bugs not being involved but our mites were identified by Clemson U and we had skin biopsies. After they left we got the fibers, etc. and M's set in or maybe it was just set off. At any rate I would like to try coconut oil again on my skin - do you warm it up or dilute it or use any other carrier oils with it?

I am finding that things that previously didn't work when we had birdmites now work. For example, I used to have to use KleenFree in our laundry (honest to God it was the ONLY thing that worked - otherwise our clothing was a nightmare) - no, I don't sell KleenFree, either. It's terribly expensive and would have been a waste of money otherwise. Now I can use bleach on whites, vinegar added to a color load, etc.. and the clothing is fine.

So, I'd love to try the oil again - advice would be helpful.

Since I am on the topic of re-trying things one recommendation I have for folks is to revisit simple, old school (by old school I mean the things our parents and grandparents used that were in the cupboard), cheap ideas from time to time. I think that as you make progress (and we've made lots even with the M's symptoms) some of the most basic treatments (baking soda, vinegar, salt, etc.) that might not have been effective initially may eventually be very helpful and safe. I guess it just depends on where you are at in the cycle of things.

Just a thought. Please no bashing....this is just my experience.

You know your comments about bashing are getting old. It sounds to me like you are trying to start up another confrontation here when none exists. Ironically when you do that it comes across as a challenge (don't say anything or I will bash you). People here will question and always have, especially those who know everything from the get go. Questioning though should never lead to name calling. It is rather puzzling when some new posters do that along with adding a title about a seller of overpriced products which appear to have little to no effect on Morgellons. Still, I am not saying that anything was going on here with that person. I was just questioning and am glad to see the tone seems to have changed somewhat with that person.

Default sorry

I didn't mean for my post to sound snarky or is the word smarky? Brain fog. Anyhow, I re-read it and you are right - it did although that wasn't my intent. I was worried that because I mentioned KleenFree and also gave some advice re: re-trying things it might be interpreted that I think I know what I am talking about. I just know my own personal experiences. I'll keep sharing when I think I have an insight but without adding in the no bashing lingo - it wasn't necessary.

Thanks ZM. No one here always sees eye to eye, but that's okay too. It's a forum where folks present opinions. Right now I am glad to see things settle down. I hope you will get some feed back on your earlier post here. I think it is important to share what has worked for you after it has had time to work. Today I went back and reread the first post you made here. Although you listed what you were using at the time and it was your first post still it did not come across the way this recent poster did. Sometimes the tone of a post is everything. Your post sounded so sincere and no one ever questioned it either. Maybe that is what new posters need to consider when first posting here along with not mentioning any of the tired, old products we know are either overpriced, border on the fraudulent, do not work, barely make a difference or all of the above. Still one could say the same to a few of those senior members who keep mentioning the same products over and over along with the exact same links. I feel it is important to voice doubt and concern with some posts because we have had a lot of people come here just to sell. This is not bashing (which amounts to a personal attacks like name calling). It is doubting and it is questioning. Always with the questions. LOL.

Default coconut oil

Hi Zen,

Interesting post, as my symptoms also started right after a birdmite infestation. What hell that was!

Anyhow, as to the coconut oil, I use it regularly, and a lot. I put it on my quinoa in the morning, I'll eat a tablespoon more here and there, I've browned my tempeh in it, I put it on sweet potatoes, and I use it every day as a moisturizer. It works really well, and has a lot of beneficial properties as I'm sure you know.

When I use it as a moisturizer, I just put a dollop on my palm and rub my palms together. The body heat warms it and causes it to melt from a solid to an oil.

It has antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties, so I think it's probably a good thing for us.

I'm taking a lot of it right now, as I've started a course of flagyl and would like to avoid a yeast infection if at all possible.

Here's a pretty good link, as an FYI:
