| Hello everyone, my name is Beth. I have had Morgellons for about a month now. To be honest it scares me to death, my biggest worry aside from death and not being with my friends and family is not knowing a whole lot about this and if I were to give it to someone. I joined to hopefully not feel so hopeless and lonely. I am a nice girl and I love people. I am very outgoing and love to visit. I am thankful that such a site as this exists and I look forward to chatting. Sincerely, Beth |

| Hi Beth, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. There is a lot of useful information on this site. Look at the treatment thread and start to treat your symptoms. There is hope to get better. I know you worry about giving it to family, that was my biggest fear to begin with. So far no one else is showing signs of getting it. That does not mean it is not possible. This is a horrible disease that has completely changed the way I live my life. Take care and take all advice with a grain of salt and a lot of research! DD |

| Hi, I am very new here too. Been dealing with this since Oct. or before with some other symptoms.....but the biting started in Oct for myself and two children. 5 year old had first bites. All I can tell you is the things that are helping us..but from reading not everything works for everyone. If you are having biting and stinging all over, I have had great relief from taking salt bath both table salt and epsom salt. Black specks came out......some say these are eggs of the "thing" that is eating us. I have also gotten relief from drinking lemon juice in water and not eating alot at times and totally trying to cut sugar out of diet. I got ph test strips to test my ph and to stay neutral with my eating my eating very very healthily. Mainly salad, lean meat and cutting out as many grains and I am eating very little dairy. It is very very scary when you realize that you have this. I continue to be hopeful but I have never been so terrified in my whole life. My kids are not as bad as I am, but the helplessness I feel to not be able to protect them is the worst. I had terrible itching all over and it has gotten a lot better. I have been cleaning everything. They are in your environment, in your clothes. I have been using borax in laundry with dr. Bronners peppermint soap both together and this has helped a lot. Vacuum alot. Wipe dust up and immediately get it out of the house to trash. I have microscope and these things that we have are very tiny black fibers or threads......very tiny though. They penetrate the skin and that is what causes what looks like a bite. I have been getting rid of new bites by scrubbing them with baking soda under cold water and repeating by putting on more baking soda and scrubbing. Do this the instant that you feel the itching on a new red mark. I have pulled them out too with tweezers but always loose them because they are so small. So, I have found that washing them down the drain works better. For me they seem to not like salt and baking soda. I also put salt in the laundry. Mule Team Borax, table salt and dr. Bronner's peppermint soap. You have to order the dr. bronners online at least I could not find it in stores here. Borax is in the laundry soaps at grocery stores. Get as healthy inside your body and as clean as possible with your environment and clothing, sheets etc. I have to kind of smile at the last reply you received because she told you to take things with a "grain of salt".... I would have to totally agree, but in the way of literally with LOTS of grains of salt!!! and I am not dissing this person......only making a joke since I really have had alot of help from SALT! She is right though about there being a lot of different approaches to this and you have to do some trial and error to see what helps. The salt thing I learned from other morgellons sufferers however simply by reading what is there on the net to be read. I put hot water in tub and sometimes dump a half a bag at least of epsoms salt in and then submerge everything under as much as possible for quite a while. Then I scrub and scrub with a wash cloth and I only use the wash cloth once before laundering. I need to go now, but since I am very new here too, I too am looking for help and support so you can email me privately if you wish. There is so much more I could say and again I too have decided that I can't stay isolated with this any longer and need to "talk". I refuse to believe that this is hopeless and I have read about people who have gotten rid of it. Look up Mel Friedman's story or Mr. Common Sense if you have not already found these sites. They gave me hope. Take Care! |

| MrCommonSense, another one who calls this disease 'hyper toxicity syndrome.' In fact he is the one who started the ball rolling on that...sure sign of the s group, the hgv group and the esp group and mel too... Hmm...so many suggestions, so quickly...with a grain of salt, definitely...Hmm. quote=veryscared;89112]Hi, I am very new here too. | I don't know what tcmgpt13 means in most of their post..what is the sgroup? the hgv group? the esp group? I don't know what you are talking about with calling it hyper toxicity etc. I don't know what you mean by all the hmmm's about my suggestions. I am new here looking for help and support and just offering suggestions to this other new person of things that have helped me when I read that Mr. Common Sense, Mel etc. are ones that say they have gotten rid of this and yes the cleaning and the baths etc. too have helped and so I told this person about them. I don't understand your reply or what you are even getting at????? I came to realize this was morgellons fairly quickly even though dealing with it since Oct. and just started doing the things that I found online about 6 weeks ago. So, your comment about so many suggestions so quickly I really don't "get" what you even are suggesting. I am a mom and wife who is sick and my kids have these bites on them too and came to this site for support.... not hummmm's or criticism .....but yes thought I would share what I have been doing that has helped some of the itching and crawling and yes some things that I have read that gave me hope from people who claim to have gotten rid of this no matter what they choose to call it! You know my husband warned me about getting on one of these forums and said that although I may find support I may run into some real weirdos too. |

| I do not believe I said MCS sold anything, but he seems to support those who do. Isn't it amazing how the sellers pick up so quickly on things, such as how the name for Morgellons should be changed. It's discussed on the internet whose idea that was. Ah hem. Some treatments, lab tests, and products are often mentioned on various sites. Many are overpriced, unproven or just plain do not work. It is difficult not to notice the little closely knit circles here and there, comprised of those who scratch each others' backs even if not exactly directly involved. quote=zephra;89162]TCM Mr. Common Sense is not trying to sell anything that I am aware of. z[/quote]

| I am hopeful that there will be a cure one day. I have to stay hopeful. I totally hear Polly about slowing down and for now I am going to go with what I already have or what I have coming in shipment like this dsp cream from Marc in Germany. Yet, going to the doctor costs money too which I have done and am going to do again to check out the lymes angle. If someone said they have the cure (with an airtight money back guarantee) but it was expensive right now I would probably pay (if I could) because this has NOT been fun! Healthcare is expensive and it may turn out that a cure for this might be too. So, although I love salt and am glad it does not cost a lot of money, a cure might cost more than a bandaid. BUt, I am feeling better with eating a lot better although we ate quite well before all of this. No soda pop in this house for along time now and I don't let my kids eat a lot of candy and junk. Daughter is allergic to some food dyes and so there is a lot less processed foods that we have been eating anyway. But have found that cutting out some grains which we ate alot of and cutting back on dairy and eating even more veggies etc. has helped. Anyway, again a lot I could say. I'm just trying to take the good parts of this forum and know that we are not alone at least. I was amazed to see so many people on the internet blogging etc. about invisible biting bugs etc. etc. when I first started looking at the internet for answers. Truly mind boggling that there are so many people with this and no one is figuring out what is going on....but then look how long that there has been cancers and no one has found a magic bullet for that that I am aware of either. I guess we all stand on the "dart board" of life and one or another of the "darts" is bound to hit you sometime! On the lighter side .....I will never ever look at dryer lint or lint in the tub or a speck of dust etc. etc. the same not EVER again! ![]() |
