| Hello, new here. Just recovering from a 30 year infection with Strongyloides. It has been insane. The negative tests, the deprecating comments from doctors when I complain about some ailment that they can't/won't diagnose or treat. So frustrating. Once there was an accurate diagnosis it really wasn't that big of a deal, but all those years with a parasite in my lymph system has really been difficult. Found this forum looking up information on Fenbendazole for treating parasites. |

| Yes, there are some who have had success with fenbendazole. How did you happen upon this site? 30 years... a long time! How and when did your diagnosis finally come about, and what other treatments have you tried; all without any positive outcome? Also, if you don't mind my asking, what were your symptoms? Quote:

| I have tried so many things. Problems were all intermittent, so it was difficult to be taken seriously by medical professionals. It's hard to say what symptoms were just a part of being alive, but basically, the main things were phlegm constantly and occasionally a rash on my entire body that made me want to peel off my own skin. Getting stoned helped. It didn't help the symptoms improve, or help me to figure out exactly what was wrong, but it did help me to stop caring. Heh. Let's see, what helped?
Probably the most important thing, or the thing that helped me the most was caring about other people. Helping other people almost always helped me to come up with something that would help myself. For example, I was trying to help my baby absorb some extra vitamin e, which is a lipid and difficult to digest for babies. And thinking about her gave me the idea to mix some of it in with some mineral oil (because it's oil-soluble) and give her a massage. |
