I started having crawling sensations, pin pricks, biting, itching, etc. in July. I thought I had lice or scabies but I never really saw anything, just the feelings. I treated myself with Rid, Nix, Licefree and was using Jason's Tea Tree Oil body wash. I shaved my whole body. I spoke to my doctor about it and he told me that I probably had an allergic reaction to all the product I was putting on my body and to stop. I stopped at the end of August but in the meantime, I did treat myself once for head lice as a preventative because I came in contact with someone that had it. I still have all the feelings, they come and go. I've been using shea butter soap and lavender soap to wash with and dandruff shampoo to wash hair. When I wash my hands for example, little black specks appear. They are rectangular in shape and very small. Once on the palm of my hand, I pulled out a white casing with something black inside followed by a white thread. I feel what I call "water droplets" on my skin but nothing there. My hands have begun to itch, the bottoms of my feet feel crawling sensations on them. The back of my neck and upper back feels warm at times. I just don't know what I have! I have a dermatologist appt in November but will probably be laughed at! Any help would be appreciated!

Morgellons is not a skin disease. It is thought by some researchers to be an auto-immune reaction to Lymes disease. If it is Morgellons a dermatologist is not going to be able to help. Go to lymephotos.com for the best treatment for the buck. I do this when ever symptoms are raging but I use 1 tablespoon of canning salt (pure salt w.out caking agents or iodine) and 1 table spoon of 5000 mg Vit C powder into 5 oz of pure warmed water and consume it with a meal. Beware you need to do this treatment only if planning to stay home as it can cause diahhrea. Also to relieve skin symptoms I soak in ebsom salt and rotate in with it Hydrogen peroxide or Arm and hammer laundry soap with oxyclean. Good luck

nathan, welcome to the message board. Sorry you are having to be here, but if you have these symptoms it is a good place for information and support. Lots of people with this have tried to get help from dermatologists and many other medical people, but sadly that has not been very productive. I don't really think that the medical profession quite understands what is going on with us. Yes, it is very traumatic and can be upsetting - I also experienced the symptoms you have and found it distressing and unsettling. You are not alone. You're not the only person with this collection of symptoms. And you're not the first person to try all these products that didn't resolve the symptoms. There have been more than a few people who have been wrongly diagnosed as having scabies, lice or even fleas. No one knows what is it, or how it will progress. Although many of us seem to start with the symptoms you mention here, not everyone has all the same symptoms as others after time. There are quite a few variations from one person to the next. I will say two things that perhaps might not seem helpful, but I intend it to be most helpful and the best advice I could offer. The first, is to use caution with what you put on your skin and bathe in. The skin is the body's largest organ of elimination and also absorbs everything that is applied to it. You are using some things that are kind to the skin and non-toxic, which is very wise. I did have some relief (not cure, but relief) from using Jason Dandruff Shampoo and Azurfre sulfur soap -both these helped a lot. Secondly, there is also a treatment thread here that has evolved over time and which has some good suggestions. Give it a read, and do come back and ask any questions you have, there are a lot of caring people here who will offer you support and friendship. You're not alone. Think about a Quarantine as well. Be honest and up front with everyone. This is contagious. Your gonna have to get tough with it as these Mites are mean little critters, difficult to kill all of them. I hope you don't have them. The medicated creams are better than oil, but you must use them very sparingly. Permethrin Cream (Scabies), Rid (Lice), MSM cream (non medicated but very good for your skin). About 5 - 10 gallons Mineral Oil, no kidding, you must drown them. Good luck and God bless, William Kelly

Mineral oil does nothing for Morgellons, I'm sorry to say. M is internal. The best thing to do is diet. If you see a bug, by all means, smother it in Mineral oil. But to those of us with fibers and things popping out of our skin, mineral oil does nothing. I don't mean to be rude at all. I'm sure someone will get relief from your advice, but like I said, those of us with M and fibers haven't gotten total relief from anything topical. It takes an internal and external cleanse to get relief.

Hello! Sorry you are here but this is a good site for information.. follow the advise of people who are identifying and making progress with this disease or. I got this disease in the exact same fashion as you and also in July. The faster you get a grip on it the easier it will be for you. First I recommend staying away from hydrogen peroxide. Clifford carnicom has w great website and is the real leader in this disease's forefront. Clifford Carnicom culture a Morgellons specimen using hydrogen peroxide and iron in water or wine. Secondly, you need to go to the doctor to get permethrin, it will not completely cure you but it will get it somewhat under control. The only scars I have from lesions are the ones I made with tweezers pulling the creature out of the white bumps that start to raise. I would do it again because they breed. I used an unorthadox treatment. EcoSmart Organic Vegetable Garden Spray. I sprayed in on my hands and they started coming out. So I would spray, wait 5 minutes as it dried and sprayed again 4 and 5 times getting hundres out. I treated my feet the same way. Some will run out as if they were on fire when you first use it. I even poured 12 oz in my bath water and got some weird bugs coming out. Ultimately this is one organism Strongylus Monospinigerum aka a strain of fusarium oxysporum sprayed on cotton by China and other countries then imported to the USA. THIS CREATURE a parasitical fungus is HIGHLY ADAPTIVE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you reading about MMS Chlorine dioxide from Jim Humble and if you want to buy it H20 wateramericas is a good place and sold by a DR. I use mms orally, topically and 30 drops to 150 drops in my bath water. Your on the right track with lavender soap but add lavender salts bath soak to your bath to isolate the biofilm. Nix was ok but dog flea tick shampoo works just as good. The key to this disease is the dust which you probably haven't discovered yet. Eventually you will start to notice what may appear as a fungus gnat or white fly with no wings. This is the fungus spore which is a parasitical fungus. It is drawn to light, heat, body heat and you skin and clothes made of cotton. Controlling/killing the dust- I trust moldstat but don't buy the peroxykilng as it has hydrogen peroxide. I made this mistake and they multiplied by the thousands overnight. Stick with spraying moldstat. Get a 1 gallon sprayer at homedepot which is also where you will find. Ecosmart as described above. Another great product is NEEM OIL. ALSO AVAILABLE AS AN INSECTICIDE AT HOME DEPOT. But don't use this insecticide for yourself (body bath ect) I wish I had a mentor to help me when I first became infected. Instead I have many like the knowlegable folks here on MDR. DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU. Read my threads. All of them. I don't have any leisons or biting. I am not cured but have about as much control over this disease as one can having no pain, no lesionsand no more fibers popping out. Just a few of the same bugs you have coming out of your hands. A doctor will tell you it is lint. Fiber. I will repeat, get control of the dust fiber in your car, house and any area outside of those where you spend a lot of time. Get control with moldstat and neem. Treat yourself. Its not easy and it is a constant battle. Don't freak out or give up. There in not a known cure at the present time. We're here for you. Godspeed. Not intended as medical advice. If you have a medical condition please consult your physician.

| Hello Nathan, I am sorry you are having so many symptoms. I would do a lot of research here on the forum before using anyone's suggestions. Sometimes products work for some while for others the same product makes things worse over time. I would be very cautious about using chemicals as many who have Morgellons get much worse from using these types of products. Remember everyone here seems to have a different opinion about what Morgellons is. Also remember personal theories are just that. Mostly what is presented here on the forum is opinion. There are some natural suggestions to be found on the morgellons treatment thread. I would suggest reading this thread first to kind of see what has worked for at least some folks here. Most of what is discussed in this thread is a safer way to approach treating Morgellons symptoms. This thread was started by Carla, our mod: morgellons-disease-research.com/Morgellons-Message-Board/morgellons-treatment/4112-living-morgellons-treatment-suggestions.html I would like to say when approaching a strong chemical treatment like MMS be careful. For some this has not been a good way to treat Morgellons. There is a large discussion about MMS on one forum thread, giving different opinions and experiences with that product. I feel that if someone has thyroid issues this could be a product which might block even further the proper functioning of this glad. In fact many remove chlorine from their water supply because chlorine interferes with thyroid hormone. Also using products to control bugs (whether chemical or natural) may not be wise, especially those meant to be used in the garden and not on humans. I would just read some of the posts here, but not buy into too much of what just one person here posts. There's a lot of room for questions and I hope you will ask them. BTW we still do not know if or how much Morgellons is contagious. I would take all assertions about that and other issues and question them. As far as I know there are no really good firm answers to this disease, not yet anyway. Not even to what causes it (though many would like newbies to think otherwise). When new I would caution anyone to take anything and everything said on the forum with a grain of salt An aside here: Salt baths are cheap and have helped many with their symptoms. It is one suggestion that does not cost much. Many use inexpensive pure pool salt (make sure it has only pure salt in it). And some even add in some 3% hydrogen peroxide with good effects. Welcome to MDR. tcm

Nathan, becareful of wolves in sheeps clothing. Be careful? We are living with Morgellons or are we dying from it? You want to get rid of Morgellons take it from someone with very little symptoms. You want to lose yourself to all the horrible symptoms listen to someone who cant even leave their house cuz of this disease? I work, excercise, bowl, I have a life. This Morgellons is just now part of it. I want rid of it completely and am almost there. So do what works for you. Then help people get the same information. If they choose not to be free from this because they wont change their method that's on them.. you can lead a horse to water but you cant make em drink. To you my friend the faster you attack this disease the more likely you will overcome it. Its no different than cancer. Understand? Good luck and Godspeed. Someone may tell you I have had this disease for 50 years. I don't want to live with this 50 years. Do you? Or I've had this 5p years so I know what works. Really? Then why do you still have the disease?all I am saying is very little works. Get my point. A few things do. Remember this though: you have 3 areas to worry about with this disease and they all go hand in hand. Body, blood and environment. Kill it in all three areas and YOU WIN!

Hi, A few questions. Do symptoms seem to get better and then come back? They do for me. Have you had any problems with your eyelashes? I get these white dots in my eyelashes and it feels like something is in them. Is borax okay to use in laundry? Tea Tree Oil for laundry and body? Lysol? One of the threads I read talked about biofilm. I remembered I took a bath and put borax in the water. This black greasy film appeared on top of the water. It was outlined in black and the "grease" was around it. I didn't think anything of it. Is that biofilm? Another thread talked about "floaters." I've had floaters for a long time (my eye doctor called them floaters) but they do seem to get worse at times. Recently, I do see them more often with black threads on them. Thanks for your help!

I don't remember ever seeing a bullseye on my body. I've never had a lyme disease test, maybe I should get one. I've read that it might have to do with plant, soil, etc. . Earlier this summer, I planted flowers without gloves and I'm just wondering if that's how I got it. What do you think?
