Default Been M.I.A for a while

Hi everyone,
Long time, no see. I haven't been here for a while, and I must say I have missed many of you. Almost didn't recognize the place, a lot of new members it appears.
I have been going through some changes in my life, financially, relationships and even my home. Need to move in 2 weeks. I have let all of it get the best of me, depress me, and all that has came out of it.... getting sicker with morgellons.
I have been afraid to say anything, being a member for a while and not having anything positive to share. I guess I feel as a member and someone who has been afflicted with morgellons for over 4 years that I should be in a better position with my morgellons. Truth is, I am a morgellons mess right now. I am starting to get some symptoms I never had before.
With that said, I needed to come back to my MDR home. I need the pep talks, the support, possible treatments, the jokes.
Good to be back,

Ghettogirl

Default Hi GG

So sorry to hear of your troubles, life can really just suck sometimes. But all things do pass...eventually. I know during the course of my life I spent many a sleepless night worried about my future in general. To do all of this with morgellons, now that's rough.
Welcome back GG.
What kind of symptoms are you having now?

Thanks you guys, Janice and Janedoe, for your kind words and making me feel special.
My newest symptoms is the oh many popular fiber. I have had the white hairs from hell on my scalp from way back when. (They are super bad, more of them then my hair) Now, I see the same kind of fibers on ankles, under my forearms, and my upper back, right below my neck. It freaked me out one day. I was having major itching, and saw that I had not just a few hairs, but a patch, like the size of an apple of white fibers. I have never seen or noticed the fibers anywhere except for my head, pubic area and on a super bad day, the outline of my face. It was sick! I had white fur! OMG, it was alot. The same thing happened on my arm. It was bugging me, itchy, feeling dirty, and when I looked at it in the light, there was a diamond shape patch of white fur there too. I freaked out, went and put some tea tree oil on it and as fast as it came it just disappeared. I am so glad my boyfriend saw it all with me.
I also have been getting bad cramps in my hips, thighs and back. Like charlie horse cramps.
I seem to have some kind of allergy now also. I wake up every day, and I sneezing fits. I blow my nose, but I still am congested. This can go on for a hour or so, several times a day.
I now have bruises that also seem to come and go on my stomach, arms and thighs.
And in my fingers, palm side up where the creases are it feels like a piece of wire is in my skin. That is a strange one! I am not one to pick, so I don't know what it is but I figure it's more of the fibers.
Overall, I just don't feel right. My bathroom habits have been "yukky". I was blaming it on my ulcer but I think this stuff is effecting my ulcer.... a lot.

Get your self some grandma's lye soap, you can get it at ace hard ware. It's about 5 bucks. When you get it let me know, and I'll tell you how I use it. It helps a lot.

GG, I'm sorry you are feeling so bad. I know about some of your symptoms from having them myself. I've seasonal allergies for most of my life, so when the M started, I kept telling myself, and everybody else, that my allergies were just worse this year than they'd ever been. One of my daughters stated that I was sick ALL the time, and later she said I came up with the strangest symptoms! It was several weeks after she said that, when I started having a new symptom, and remembered what she had said, and how bad I felt most of the time. So I went to the internet and found Morgellon's in less than 5 minutes! Had never heard of it, but here were people describing all those same symptoms my daughter thought I was crazy for talking about! I have found so many helpful people in the past couple of weeks, and some not so helpful...but it is good to know what's wrong, and that I'm not alone, even though I wouldn't wish this on anybody! The crazy ear itching has been going on for about 3-4 years! Was I shocked to see all those little black fibers when I cleaned my ears and looked under a simple 10x microscope??? YES! But at least I know I can begin to treat this thing now. I pray you'll get to feeling better soon, and that the other problems in your life will pass soon as well.
Marsha

Hi GG, I'm sorry to hear that things are not going well. It's good to have you back though. Hang in there and try not to get too stressed with all the changes because we all know what that does to our bodies and M.

As you might know, my sinuses and throat have been a big issue for me. I started taking Robitussin on occasion along with my daily nasal washes and Benadryl at night and it seems to be getting better. I also started taking 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda mixed in water every morning and that has lessened the mucus in my throat as well as other M symptoms. I seem to have more energy now.

I don't know why I never thought of this before but last week I bought one of those ear wax cleaning kits. I squirted the stuff in my ear and let it sit for a few minutes and then used a bulb that it came with to suck it out. At first, it was horrible because I had a lot of squirming in the ear but once I got the stuff out, I could hear better and my ears don't itch as much. A lot of "stuff" came out.

Anyway, I hope you are feeling better soon.

Meagan

oh man, the dreaded fur...secret..dye your hair with one of those grey removers, works real well. i never had to do that before this but hey, i can chalk it up to age, i guess. my neice has been getting rid of greys since she was 22, so at 44 im doing pretty well i guess.ive only had to dye it once, and it went real well, i got that stuff from the supermarket, it worked good. you know you did it right when nobody notices, haha, they just say your hair looks good...lol...yay

Hey guys,
I just noticed there was more posts after my last one on this thread.
Hi back frito, marsha, meaganm and anyone else! Reading your replies puts a smile on my face. Thank you.
Janice, ty for the lye soap suggestion. I rec'd my child support money today so I can go to Ace Hardware later and get some of that soap. I will let you know so you can advice me on it, ty again.
Janedoe, funny you mention coloring the hair. I did that last Sunday. I had a concert to go to and in order for me to attend without feeling or looking like some kind of alien, I colored my hair with a kit I had already (bought a few months back and put away) It did mention for grey hair coverage but anyways....
I STILL HAD WHITE FIBERS SHOWING AFTER I RINSED!!! IS THAT INSANE OR WHAT? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS STUFF WHEN HAIR DYE DOESN'T EVEN WORK?!?!?!
So now I have orange, not red, hair with little white hairs showing around my hairline, part and throughout my hair. (I am originally dark brunette, but use to color my hair as a dark auburn..... use to look nice!) That hair color I had in my cupboard was light auburn.... wrong color, no wonder it was on sale. LOL.
I read this quote long time ago and thought how perfectly true it is....
"Every day with morgellons is a bad hair day"
peace,
Ghettogirl
