Hi, My name is Jan and I am new to this forum and to Morgellons. Please provide me with information on how to live my life and not expose others to this illness. I am fearful that my children, grandchildren, and friends are at risk. Do others worry about this? Do you take precautions when visitin other's homes or have them in your home. Do you tell your dentist or hairdresser that you have this illness. Many people on support group sites talk about friends and family becoming infected, but most American research sites say this is not spread by casual contact. What do we do with conflicting information? Please help.

Dont think anything is clear on wether this is something someone can contact from others. Most of us are just trying too keep our heads above water and dealing with the issues that this presents. sammy

If you do not have sex with them then they should stay in good shape !

If the family has it it is from birth and sex that they will be infected that is not a given but it is the most likely.

The symptoms are small but ongoing at first, this is a long term disease and it is systemic. The children may be born most likely with some little issues, but then again they may be big,

This is a touchy subject! My daughter got "M" when she was 9 (2007), I had been sick since 2003? I think some of us are genetically predisposed.

Both of us are very healthy now. She has no symptoms & I still have small lesions. We paid attention to our diet... organic and no preservatives or GMO food. We did a lot of other things too, homeopathic/natural medicine.

When I was really sick with "M" I had NO interest in sex so I never worried about giving "M" to anyone in that way. As far as I know I have never given "M" to anyone (co-workers, friends, family, lovers) even when I was feeling the creepy crawlies & had black specks, glitter & fibers coming out of my body. I told my dentist about "M" & he looked at me like I was crazy.

I have been healthy going on 2+ years now. I am not "cured", I still have small lesions and a few other things going on. But I don't think I have ever given "M" to someone else by having sex. I have been in a serious relationship since May 2010, and he has no symptoms. He supports me and believes "M" is real.

BO, why do you think "M" can passed through sex or kissing? Did someone get "M" from you? I know it is a very personal question... just wondering why you are so adamant.

I am telling you in no uncertain terms, even WITH a condom on this can be passed.

Jonsi, we all know that people that have this do not have to have THE LESIONS to have this, I will bet you any money if I scope his urine or skin there will be fibers, this may actually depend on the term of relationship

I can also tell you that I use my microscope on a family, the mother complaining of getting ADULT acne, also the child having problems, skin as clean as a whistle. They had fibers, how long will they go before they have the problems, the real deal problems.

He must have contracted it thru birth, she may have also, as her father was in the military with me.

Here is the other clincher, the other daughter, she is wasted with most of her hair gone, lesions and it seems now there is somthing the matter with her mind, she was a beautiful young woman before with peaches and cream skin.

The father he has just the systemic signs, carple tunnel, fibramialga, leg problems, dots on his ear lobes, spots forming on his arms, loss of hair at an early age and the tell tale dot on the end center of his nose.

He has no lesion or sores, but he has lots of brain fog and just as of lately developed itching.

When I saw the dot form on the end of his nose I was pretty sure he had it, now I am sure, what else does a person need, a sign.

People imagine this is a one sided coin, I think it is the depleation of the body functions, at a point advanced ageing,

We are the new hypocondriacs, all these year I listen to people say, OMG I am itching like crazy lately all over, I must have gotten bitten by bugs I have all these bite marks.

If anyone said that I looked them over real good, I may even start a conversation about getting bit by red ants just to get the story, to know where this disease was going.

I will not tell you the details of all my situations, but believe me, it is not only possible it is certain that you catch this from sex and birth. it was 38 years ago i cauth this itching disease, did I catch a stronger one recently, or was this the cumulation of years of bashing my body to death.

DID I CATCH IT AGAIN AND A STRONGER FORM MUTATED BY ALL OF MANS IDIOT WAYS, I JUST DON'T KNOW.

If you question this, just use a inexpensive students microscope on the urine or dung, you will see the fibers, there will be alot in the dung and a smaller amount in the urine

Unless your feeding your man the couch for dinner, those fibers are from our situation, will he develope lesions, will you get them again, will you or he develope unseemingly unconected disease, most likely but only time will tell.

I've said it before, I do believe everyone already has "M", it is just a matter of time. life style, food, meds, stress, dirt, mosquitoes, bugs, water, chem-trails, mold, toxins, GMOs, preservatives ? I wish we could figure out what kicks the "M" off and makes us sick.

I still don't think I will make someone else sick... but that is my opinion & my experience. I think there are different strains of "M".

ou got lots of information from both sides of the coin. I myself do not know, I am just very careful if I get to be around my family which is very seldom.

I have MOrgs and Lymes but I stay away from closeness because I am also Multiplmy Chemically Sick and cannot tolerate smells that other folks find okay, like paints, gasoline, perfumes or anthing with a fragrance and on and on and on. I mostly live like a hermit or recluse.

So I can't answer your question. I know of people who say it is not contagious and Barak and one doc that says it is. Quite a puzzle?

Thats what I like about you Jonsi,you are one kind and polite woman, its even nice to debate with you.

You are probably right about everyone having a component of this affliction in them.

I would say its the cause for ageing and could be the fountain of youth if eradicated.

That sure would be scary to a governemnt that wants to get rid of people that they OWE and also know what freedom is about and remember what America was before the dumbing down and the shipping wholesale of industry to China.

Can you just imagine if the malady they advanced to control population/biological war agent is turned around and they find out without this component in the blood people will live to 150 easily. I could make alot of me in that time, a world FULL of Baraka Obams, LOL.

Because you are all my friends I will send you each a Baby Obam if this works out. They will be quite cute with big smiles and a strange twisted like sence of humor, LOL

My experience has been that initially this is contagious--when I say initially I mean during the time for us when there was constant biting sensations from the house, constant crawling, constant sensations of pin pricks, etc. My husband got this too, although now he has no symptoms and I have fewer and fewer symptoms now which may be due partly to the colder weather. We have people at our house. They sit on our furniture. None of them have contracted anything to my knowledge. We are socially active and there is lots of hugging from friends. No one has said anything about strange symptoms.

Last year our daughter, husband and grandkids stayed with us for a month. None of them got anything from us or the environment and I was very terrified that they might contract something. The year before that they stayed with us for a month too. That year when I believe we were infectious my granddaughter got bit by something and that bite did not go away. When she returned home her mother took her to a doctor who prescribed antibiotics and the bite went away. This summer we went to Germany to stay with the same family. They loaned us their bed to sleep in, their sheets, etc. I had no symptoms while in Germany. I don't know why. They reported no problems with contracting anything from me, even though we used the same shower, played with the children, and slept in their bed. Go figure...

This is just my experience. I don't have any lesions or bites any more... I still have some crawling and tickling sensations and an occasional feeling of a light bite once in a great while. Warmer weather still seems to bring more symptoms for me.

You probably will not be able to get much from such varied experiences with this topic, so best of luck!

Iam 100 percent sure my husband has this. He has lessions on his face but he doesnt think this condition exists. He has been going too derms and we all know what a waste of time they are. Tues I am going to a allergy doctor and this also may be a wild ride for nothing we will see not expecting anthing sammy
