Hello Everybody! I am Denise from Flint, Michigan and a sufferer of this dreaded disease. I am glad I found a community where there are people who understand what I am going through. I have felt so alone and helpless. I have felt like I have been in the twilight zone with this. I have seen these fibers do some very alien things and it has horrified me to think they are in my body!!! I have tried to run from this but can't, it's everywhere!!! It don't matter how much you clean or if you move it is there. I have been aware of the "lint" balls and string that hold the "thing" and I have found they are everywhere. I have been to stores and have seen the lint ball bugs on brand new clothes. I have stood in line at the gas station and have seen them on the coat of the person in front of me. I gave up trying to run from them and have been standing firm trying to learn more and take care of my body. I look forward to posting and sharing my pictures and story of my personal battle with this disease from hell.

Welcome NotDelusional. I live in the deep south and find the same thing on people's clothes and their skin. I notice every time a person around me scratches. This is a good place to find some help and friendly people.

Thanks belle9, I used to just hover over the Morgie forums in total DENIAL,however, Denial is a lonely beast. I need support from others who understand this crazy disease. I stopped talking to family about it and started to isolate myself from the World. I still feel like a leper and think anyday they will be sending us to our own Island somewhere in the Pacific! (just kiddin) All I can say is laugh now,cry later!

Hi Denise welcome to the support board here at M-D-R. 4 years it has taken me to become mostly well. The fibers the specks seeing them on yourself, people, places and environment I know all too well.

Yeah very REAL, painful and a hell for many of us. Remember it is the disease NOT you that is gross. I used to have to tell myself that.
Know that you are not alone here and that we CARE.
