Thumbs up New Member, saying hello - your help and advise needed

Hi All,

I am a new to this forum and wanted to say hi to everyone. I am a morgies sufferer interested in any advice anyone can offer. I am suffering badly with my eyes and am having sleepless nights. Also, any advise on what to spray in the environment would be much appreciated? I am at a loss as to what would be best to get rid of floating fibres.

Also, I would very much like to hear from UK sufferers and if they have been able to get their doctor to listen to them , and what treatment if any has been offered. I seem to be getting nowhere.

thank you
Jana.k

Default Sufferers from the UK

Hi Janak,

There are sufferers from the UK here.

However, I personally know of no doctors treating Morgellons in the UK.

It's also more difficult (impossible) to get the fungal/parasite tests done that people in the US seem to get quite routinely. I guess thro' medical insurance!

I believe there is a Dr Wright in Bolton and another Dr - can't remember his name - in Harley Street. Both are private, probably expensive. You can search for Lyme Doctors UK if you want to go down the private route.

I suggest you find a good naturopath who has experience of this. I can't recommend anyone. I would like to find one myself.

Have you looked at

Morgellons UK website. Can't give you a link as I haven't posted enough. Bizarre!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of good info there.

I know you people in the UK are in a bit of a bind over finding a doctor. I guess you have to take things in your own hands for now.
Go to a health food store and buy the best quality multi-vitamen you can. Pick up some garlic pills or natural garlic if you prefer. Buy some NAC, a probiotic, B complex, and vitamen C. You can start there.

You can get some herbal anti-parrasitic formulas. You can go to a person that does accupucture , they alot of times will sell them, or buy them at the health food store. Watch the videos I posted..

Also read some of the wonderful post here on treatment of the lesions

Hi, Janak,
Re the floaters, I've just started doing this and there seems to be a reduction but I'm not 100% sure yet: using essential oils in a diffuser cleans the air and supposedly makes the air too heavy for them to float. Maybe it also leaves an oily residue on them and they're no longer lighter than air. Not sure. Be careful what you use if you're going to be home at the time. Clove oil immediately made my lungs hurt and feel "spongy". Too much Eucalyptus will give you a headache and make your lungs hurt. I settled on 4 or 5 drops of lavender (astringent and antibacterial: cleans the air) to 1 drop of Eucalyptus or 2 drops of peppermint. There's a mixture called Thieves Oil you can make yourself (or buy online but it's pricey) that's supposed to also kill bacteria, mold and fungus, but you want to take your family and pets to another location while it's diffusing. I haven't tried it yet, but it makes sense. The added benefit to oil diffusion is that your house will smell nice and anything that perks up our spirits is helpful. I think orange oil also kills bacteria and has an aromatherapy affect on depression. Lavender relaxes you. Use a dry diffuser; don't diffuse in water to avoid unnecessary moisture in the air. (See all Janice's info about fungus / mold.)

Oh, re the diffuser, you can get expensive ones or you can get a smaller one for a lot less. Windmere makes one for about $10; I got it at a local health store and the fragrance fills my 18 x 14 living area in a matter of minutes.

Default Hi Janice

I think that's what most of us are doing. I certainly am.

We do have good health food shops and also some very good natural practitioners - acupuncturists, naturopaths, osteopaths etc.

I have been using them for years.

It's just the MD's that are so bad.

I've probably had Morgellons for many years, but only realised recently when things got really bad.

I'm using most of the vits you've suggested plus have got some great tips from this site.

It would be good if us in the UK could find some doctors to do some fungal /parasite tests tho. Then maybe we could target the problem better.

Thanks for your help Janice. I'm really impressed with your research but it's a bit over my head.

Welcome Jana.k,

Sulphur eye drops are meant to be good to combat eye issues. Also silver....maybe try this product which combines the two: Good Health Naturally MSM + Silver Water Drops | yourhealthfoodstore.co.uk

If you do try it, please feed back and tell us if it works k?

Here's the link to morg uk: Morgellons UK - Campaign 2010 - Raising awareness to the Public and Professionals

Over the coming months you should find that your symptoms ease. Wiping surfaces with white vinegar is a good one. Bug arrest can help on carpets etc.

I'm available to chat over the phone regarding docs etc. You can email me on info@morgellonsuk.org.uk

Good to know that you're not alone hey.
Jo

Hi to those who reaponded to my first post. I am really grateful for the advise you have given me. I do not feel on my own now. I was very much feeling depressed and fed up with the situation. This thing takes over your life. I only wish that i had joined this support group sooner.

I hope you are all coping as I am trying to, although on some days it's a big struggle.

Take and speak soon.
