Default It all started

I started with this terrible disease last June, We were on vacation at Myrtle Beach and the condo we stayed at was not clean. I saw a bug on me in the middle of the week it was not small, by the time I got home they had spread. I thought it was simple lice went to doctor after doctor trying too get rid of them. Then I stumbled into this web site and everything was so fimilar too me all of the complaints lesions white biting things, black specks black bugs eye problems. It has been hell. had antiboitics steriods, creams, 5 or 6 derms. The people at this site have helped me from going crazy.

Default No Steroids

Steroids apparently make this stuff much stronger. Don't use them.

I find that when I have severe itching -- particularly in the middle of the night, I can spray J.R. Watkins Apothecary Menthol Camphor on the area and get relief. I found the little gold spray can in my Ralph's supermarket in an area for breathing products in the over the counter pharmacy shelves. It was less than $10.00. You can also buy it online at Watkinsonline.com. It contains eucalyptus, camphor and thymol. Prior to discovering this product about 3 weeks ago, I applied ivermectin horse paste to itchy areas. Horse paste can be bought for $3.00 a tube from farm and livestock supply places (if you lie about owning a farm).

It's so awful Hadrian and sorry to hear you are going through this!!!!

I know of quite a few ppl who got it from staying at hotels, etc.

janedoe, about moving,.. I've heard of some ppl who did that and were ok for a bit, then it was back. But for me and a few others it helped. For me it helped HUGELY!!! Now, I did a lot of other things. I even when to the extreme of throwing most of my things away. I just did not want to take a chance and was willing to go to any extent to be well.

I am doing very well, but moving is not the only thing I did, and I know it is not a sure fire cure. Many ppl have started doing better without moving, but I do think I am improving much better than the average.

If you stay or move, it helps most of all to strenghten your immune system etc, but I believe it also helps to get them out of your environment. I would continuallly spray and wipe thigns w white vinegar. I got rid of all blankets, carpets, etc that were infected. I did lots of sweeping and mopping, although I havent;' at all lately. I just did whatever I could within reason, and it has really helped. Wel, that's kind of vague, but I hope it helps.

Hadrian, I agree about staying away from the steroids. Best wishes to you!!!

fracty, thanks, vineger, huh? havent tried that.. see, its my dads house here, and he doesnt think anything needs to be changed, if it were up to me, these nasty carpets would be gone and the beautiful hardwood floor underneth would be easier to clean and smell much better. theres a huge , i mean HUGE ugly drapes in the living room that are filthy, im trying like hell to get those gone, ( all other drapes that were in the house are gone.the drapes that were in my moms room were literaly stuch to the walls..how gross is that?) im gonna peel the wallpaper in the bathroom next ( ive got one of those heat steamers so it makes it easier) but ive hesitated so far because i always breakout when i do deep cleaning/peeling wallpaper so i guess ill have to time it to do when im having a breakout anyway. i know one of these days my dad will come home and those ugly *** drapes will mysteriously be gone.. he'd be pissed, but oh well..im trying to improve his house, youd think hed be happy, given how bad it fell into disrepair..

The vinegar is nice because it is non-toxic and if I was not feeling well I could just spray it and leave and not do any work. It's not a miracle, but it helped a lot. I still have two bottles filled w vinegar here so all I have to do is spray things - or I can also wipe it with a paper towel.

I also used other, regular cleaning types of products tho. It sounds like you have a big job that and will have to use a lot of other products too. The steamer tho sounds scary... hopefully it is safe. I just hope it doesn't spread the Ms to you even more.

I think you are doing so many helpful things that you will have this licked soon

actually, the steamer is super easy, just put water in and plug it in. hold the wand where you want steam..simple...if it was a pain in the butt, i wouldnt use it..lol..but it sure makes peeling wallpaper much much easier, otherwise id have to scrape the walls and that sucks.
i added a pic of it, thats my car behind it..

Jane I would retake that picture so it did not reveal the license plate on the car...in today's world...
