Hi, everyone, I'm new here, have been lurking and reading a lot, trying suggestions, etc. I'm pushing 60 so it's hard to tell whether some of the symptoms are from aging or the critters, like the fine hair I've developed recently on my face and the edema in ankles / feet that started at the same time. Still just trying to figure out where I am with this, if it's likely to progress and how much, etc., etc., just like everybody else, I imagine. I don't have large lesions; I have tiny pimple-like spots which I don't touch except to wash. No fibers coming out of my skin except from my scalp so far. I have seen the darn things move and display electromagnetic movement and that's pretty weird. Tiny cream colored round mushy things come out of my eyebrows, eyelashes, around my mouth and other parts of my body. They look like eggs or maybe shed bodies. I get the black specks and black threads on me, but so far nothing coming out. When I get them in my hair, they're clear, colorless. I've had the fiber cacoon things in clothing that sting. I have some deep itching but mostly my whole body feels like I'm wearing really scratchy wool. Hope to get some good ideas and make some forum friends. Being in this situation has made me isolate myself in many ways and that's probably the worst thing. I'm afraid to let friends into my home or car and won't go into theirs. No hugging. I'm afraid to go to Mass where people are packed in together so my spiritual life is stagnating. Dinner out is about the only social life I have at the moment. And I'm afraid to tell my friends what I have. I've never been sick; I don't take meds, I rarely go to doctors and all of a sudden I've got this weird disorder that no normal doc will diagnose or treat for. Well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. ![]()

Hello, I am sure by now you have read a lot of the treatment threads. There is a lot of good information there. My biggest problem is on my head and face now, but I had the all over crawling sensation etc. at one time. It really sucks to have this and no one knows how to cure it. That being said, you can get better though. I don't think this is part of the aging process. I get the swollen ankles and the fine hair on the face. I would say to keep reading the suggestions for treatment and hopefully find some relief. That is about all we can do until someone comes up with the answer. DD

60 is not old unless you let yourself get old. You gotta work at being young, even when your young. I just saw a girl with this today, she is 26, her self esteme is gone along with alot of her hair, she does not know what is wrong, YET. I have to be the one that tells her. I got a beard, but most of it is normal I think!!!. I do not know if you have to get the lesions, that is up in the air.

Hi Sojii, Welcome!!! I'm glad you decided to actually join and post here. ![]() The things you mention seem like a typical part of "M" and not the aging process. Well, I hope you find some things here that help you! Good luck! And welcome again!

Baraka, I don't feel old and until all this started, I didn't look my age, either. I'm not a good judge of whether I look 58 now, but I'm moving into an 'over 50' community and (much older than me) residents kept asking if I was moving in. I concluded that it must have been due to their age-related vision problems, so I told them I was visiting my mother...
