| i hate buying new clothes.. rather stick to my faded jeans and t shirts that have been washed a thousand times.. the feel of new stuff makes my skin crawl |

| Hmmm, you see my newest foe & nickname victim: The Cotton Killer Council, Rat?! U seem like you know a thing or two about a thing or two... Agrobacterium as a Suspected CAUSE - EPA documents have been recently updated!!! |

| I agree w u guys. I could take you around to some of the clothing shops here and you can SEE the infection!!! Some stores more than others. Also at the laundry mats. I didn't know what it was at the time. I thought it was just some weird threads, ya know. ![]() I do think that there are one or two additional variables that combine w the clothing infection to create this. Every time I sweat in the FIR sauna, before long out come these little "hairs" which I think are the franken-nema-monsters (I think these are GM nematodes from the cotton). And out come the little white plastic looking things slivers and crystals (from the ohter stuff). Right now the majority keep pushing out of the left side of my torso. |

Maybe this has already been tried but I wonder what would happen if we exposed the clothing to infrared heat?

| that's an interesting question Cyn, and I had actually thought of that too. In a way I am doing it somewhat. I am using the FIR sauna by MPS. I put a couple of shirt/dresses in there that I use to sit on in an effort to make it more comfortable. On the one hand, stuff comes out of my skin into the clothes, but on the other hand if FIR destroyed them then they would be gone. What SEEMS to be happening is that they can withstand FIR for a LONG time. But (sorry this is gross... lol) sometimes I wipe the "things" coming out of me on the glass in there so I can see WHAT they are and WHAT is happening. I THINK that over a LONG time they gradually dry out so much that they get a bit less. But I have not found most of them disintegrate completely. I had to take scotch tape to remove some, and I had to take a damp paper towel to get off others. Actually, the reason I can't sit on the floor now is because it has some of those tiny hairs and I dont want them going back in my skin. What I have found (as I suspected) the FIR is great and I think essential but lots of the stuff the websites say seems to be inaccurate. I guess I could try an experiment. Mabye take something really infected and put it in a sealed box in the sauna and see if it gets rid of them. If it only DID owrk it would solve my laundry problem. I would be interested to see if others experiences have been the same as mine. And let me restate, a lot of the stuff I read about FIR is NOT accurate. I'm sure there are ppl who might think it does that, but I would like to see them prove it scientifically. If they can do it, then it must be able to be replicated to prove it is valid. |

I honestly don't think anything destroys them completely as far as being not visible after destroying them but I do think there is a difference between active versus deceased. I think they still need to be washed off or removed once they are destroyed. I am going to try just a regular lamp type tomorrow on clothing and hopefully dome type lay down one once I get it out of the garage and cleaned up. I never gave it much of a chance because the cats kept running in there and sleeping and that just grossed me out. I use to think nothing of a cat sleeping anywhere but I really think they are a carrier of this now. Now I have a no cat in the bedroom rule so a little easier to control. I will let you know if I see anything popping out of my clothing.

| Also wondering if anyone has tried a fixed UVC over infected clothing for a period of time?

| Well, let us know how that goes. I would love to find a way to get rid of them. So far the best thing I have used is Lysol spray or hospital liquid disinfectant. Often I will spray my clothes w Lysol. It slows or stops them. I know some cats can carry this, but I think those are only the unlucky few who, like us, become infected. I think we are all carriers too if we are at the stage where "things" are coming off of us. I still wont see my family. But I think once we dont have the tangible things coming off we are still potentially infectious via blood or maybe saliva, other body fluids, etc. if it enters someone elses blood. |

| I will let you know. I use Lysol too. I just recently picked up the original concentrated liquid I add one cap full to the wash. I think it is helping. I just triple rinse after to be sure not too much residue is left behind. I read about using lysol on clothing explosed to flood water and thought why not. Also mentioned for mold. I will try the light later today.
