Compost bin goes awry Hi. Zara here. I'm happy to have found this board and look forward to participating.
I was keeping 2 worm bins for home composting when they developed a fruit fly, fungus gnat and drain fly infestation. (There are many, many bugs in a bin that help with decomposition, such as Collembola, mites, bacteria and fungi). Realizing I was in over my head, I threw them out and 2 weeks later woke to some bites on my ankle that itched like mad. 3-4 weeks later the bites finally started to heal and that's when the biting and itching begin in earnest. This reached a crescendo with them swarming all the orifices of my body as well as scalp and body.
They got into my ear and caused a swollen gland with an earache. My hearing became impaired making me feel partially deaf. They got into the other ear and it rang so loud, I couldn't hear over it. They got into my urinary tract causing pain in the abdomen for two days.
This is what makes me believe that I have Morgellons, that they gained entree into the body. I've seen the little black specs, had little crystalline things come off my skin. When I put my coat on it feels like there are particles of fiberglass in my skin. I can feel them in my eyelids, eyebrows...typical Morgellons schtik.
This has been going on for two months now.
I've thrown out a ton of my belongings and still am at it. Suddenly they all are a burden. (Don't worry, I'm very careful about how I get rid of things)
Luckily, I found the site of Mr. common sense and nanotransformation.com and received guidance right off the bat. I'm all over this.
I've changed my diet completely trying to become alkaline. No sugar, no salt, no fermented foods, no alcohol...no taste.
I'm taking supplements and have become religiously involved with the coconut goddess (I think I found God and it's a coconut).
So...I am hopeful that I'll learn enough and be proactive enough, that I get well. Already I am tons better and the itching/biting is minimal (except I got reinfested today from something in my hamper!)
Isn't it amazing. I was so into compost (I was a fanatical gardener) before all this and now...I am being composted myself. Just wished they waited till I was dead to eat me!
I look forward to spirited communion with this community.
