Sorry if this is not correct. Not sure what the difference is in a tag and a thread. Can you tell I don't know much about what I am doing. This may be a bad idea...sorry if it is. I'm nervous about posting and scared to death of Morgellons. Not even sure if I have it. Hard to find a doctor to diagnose me. I need a doctor in Birmingham (or surrounding area) Alabama who treats patients with Morgellons and won't tell me I have DOP. I have been having some scary thoughts and I have GOT TO HAVE SOMEONE to talk to. I have never talked to anyone with Morgellons. Just got up the nerve to do this and hope it makes me feel better because God knows I need it. I am fighting a battle by myself. My husband and 20 year-old daughter basically want to believe the doctors and not me, although my husband is coming around a little. I honestly don't know how much longer I can go on like this. I am kind of desperate here. All I do lately is hurt and cry because I am scared this is going to kill me. I feel like I could write a book with everything I've gone through, but then again, I can't remember everything because of the foggy brain. Can someone please help me? I saw where you are making some changes. Please let me know what I need to do in order to talk to someone. I am going to try and go to bed now. Can never sleep. I will check back later on in the day. Someone please say a prayer for me. I've got to have some help. These weird things going on with my body are frightening me. Thanks in advance

Hi Lynn, I know exactly where you are right now. Almost a year ago I came here looking for answers to what was going on in my body! I couldn't believe the things that were happening to me and I was desperate, scared out of my wits and wondering how I could go on. I found a lot of sympathy here but mostly I found help. I started to do some of the things that was suggested in the treatment thread and I saw improvement after a while. Not a cure, but way better than I was. It took a while but I calmed down and decided to fight this madness with everything I have.

My husband doesn't really believe everything I tell him either. I just tell him he doesn't have to believe me, but to do what I ask him to. It is not easy to explain this condition to others and make them understand that even though you sound loco it is the truth! Weird doesn't come close to what goes on.

I don't know when we will get help or where it will come from, but I am going to hang in there and pray for a cure. This morning I will say a prayer for you.
Tell us what your symptoms are so we can try to help you. Do you have the creepy crawlies or bugs etc.? We won't think you are dop cause we are right there with you. HUGS, DD

Hi there and welcome to the board Lynn.

I hope it will reassure you to know that most of us when first sick had a hard time sleeping as it is such an unknown illness and it feels as if there is no place to go for help. Yet there is help and much of it is found on this board under the treatment section listed on the main page. There are many helpful threads with suggestions to control symptoms. There are also ongoing discussions of what others are experiencing.

Keep in mind as well that there are many alternative practitioners such as herbalists or acupuncturists who treat patients with symptoms that mainstream medicine may overlook. Your health food store may be a place to find such practitioners as often they have heard of those who successfully practice in this way. Here's a thread to help you find someone who is interested in alternative medicine:

There are also acupuncturist organizations which may help you locate help from traditional Chinese medicine. Many of these sites allow acupuncturists to list their practices. This page lists quite a few such organizations:

Meanwhile you have a lot of company here and many are much better than when they first became ill. Improved symptoms often follow detoxifying the body with natural methods (such as herbs), improving diet to eliminate excess sugar and junk foods and learning how to relax since stress seems to magnify symptoms. As my TCM friend (traditional Chinese medicine) friend used to tell me: Remember you are much bigger than any of the parasites and will get better with time. It helped me in those early months to keep all of this in a better perspective.

It is nice to meet you. We all understand what you are going through because we have all gone through similar things.
If my husband had not of seen the fibers growing out from my lesions then I don't think he would have believed me either.
It is difficult for others to understand and believe because this Morg stuff is so bizarre.
Since coming to this forum I have learned so much in a short time.
Now I am getting much better and you will get there too.

Several here have made improvement and some have recovered fully by using different methods. As you research here and other places you will find out how to help yourself get well. It does take time.

I am using Dr. Staninger's protocol and in about 2-3 wks my symptoms have improved about 80%.

Hang in there and stick around this forum. Research until you find what works for you.

Like yourself I am new to posting, but lovely to chat with you.

Having had Ms for nearly 2 years, I understand what you are going through. As you will have found already, there is great help here and you are among friends. I am finding that when you can get into a routine, with different sprays of diluted teatree, euculyptus, vinegar etc and soaking of clothes in Borax Bleach Vinegar and other things overnight, steam ironing, freezing clothes overnight sometimes, it makes things easier. I keep to the herbal remedies, but you will be guided.There are so many informed people ready to help us. I got a lot of good advice of all sorts, including products, from marc@s-m-g.org. and you will have read of Dr. Staniger in the other posts. You will find many good ideas and helpful suggestiions that will make life easier for you. Worry and stress does not help us, so laugh and enjoy whenever you can. Some days this is very difficult, but you will find there will be more and more good days very soon.

I am not as bad as I was, and I pray we get the awareness out there that will lead to a cure very soon. So have faith and I will put you on my prayer list.

Hi Lynn & Fellow Bloggers! I contracted Morgellon's Disease cleaning up litter in Pittsburgh, 03/25/06. I've done an extensive amount of research and I'm fighting for us...
My family believed the DOP MISdiagnosis, too - That hurt almost as much as the pain of Morgellon's. I think the misdiagnosers say to not acknowledge the disease exists/don't discuss it or it will encourage us to make more marks on our bodies for attention or some BS. There is absolutely an elaborate cover-up going on since at least 2001. All of our families will feel real bad someday. I quit discussing it with mine cuz all it did was pi$$ me off. You have us now if you need to chat about it, we'll get through this nightmare together.
I saw above that people were talking about Lack of Sleep. Morgellon's seems to attract parasites. Once you get IT, you get an array of other diseases and 'things'. If you live in the U.S., the majority of arrogant mainstream medicine says parasites don't exist here, but maybe you got one in Mexico or something...This is because MSM (mainstream medicine) is mistrained, Big Pharma/Big Treatment owns and sucks the blood of America, this corruption has slithered into the AMA, CDC, FDA and EPA to name a few. Parasites cause cancer (see Hulda Clark). Too much money lost in Cancer & Other Treatment if I say: Lynn, many parasites are nocturnal (nematodes, especially). They're partyin' when you try to sleep! My right eye was twitching, I had brain fog to the point I couldn't spell and severe insomnia. Brenda Watson's Renew Life Parasite Cleanse made something like cotton explode out of my right eye within 20 mins of the first dose. (looked like I got caught in a dandelion field - that was weird!) Brain Fog gone within days. Day 4 I woke up, totally calm and I've slept like a baby ever since. My eye has never twitched again, not once. I'm so sorry that all of you are going through these symptoms. They suck!

I think you all will get through this. It is good that you have found support here on this site.

I have never taken pharmaceutical meds for "M"s and I don't have insurance either. I totally agree with Enviro Girl's post (sounds just like many of my posts I've made in the past).

It's good to have new people posting and supporting each other. I will always be here to support everyone, but the new voices are our new "blood" and I want to say "Thank You".

Jonsi: Thank you, back! Just know I'm getting 'active' for us, in a few ways. I've been researching and preparing for battle since 2008 - it is time. Where there is this kind of pure evil, there's always going to be more good ready to take it head on. I'm sorry to you folks that we were all let down and not protected from Morgellon's in the first place. Uncle Sam failed us, big time. I'll make this right and protect us and future generations from it or I will die trying for us - this all has been criminal & unacceptable...Keep up the good work!!!
