Default new member itchy blues..

Hi Everyone!
My name is Jenna. I'm a 37 year old single mom living in Toronto Canada.
I never heard about morgellons disease until I did a search for making other people itch.
I remember being itchy for about 3-4 years now. I believe it happened around or after the time my husband left me for a so-called friend of mine but I can't quite pin point the time line.
I don't know if I have any lesions although I do get what looks to be pimples in random spots of my body every so often. I am not sure what my problem is exactly nor am I sure if I belong in this forum.
My issue is that I am itchy all the time. More in the night and when I wake up in the morning. I can wash all my sheets, take a long bath/shower, put on fresh clothing but in no time at all I start to feel itchy again! It feels like tiny bugs are walking along my body. It sometimes stops for a bit but then if I sit still I can feel them almost touch down and moving around in different areas. I doesn't seem to stop. When I am busy during the day, I don't think about it as often and so the problem isn't too bad but when I am at home, relaxed it can almost drive me crazy.
I have had 2 boyfriends since the time of my separation- one for a year and the second one going on two years now. I noticed with both these guys that I made them itchy. The man I am dating now is also a super clean person and we have discussed that we make each other itchy and are probably allergic to each other. I didn't want to put the blame on me and admit that i'm diseased so he would leave me because of it.
I also notice that when I read books with my son at night (6 years old) he often scratches or says that he feels itchy.
Out in the world, It seems that who ever I talk to and converse with even for a short period of time--will get itchy during the conversation and scratch at something (usually on their face).
I feel like a freak sometimes. I can pull it off to appear "normal" but now that I am aware of this issue, it's not going away and starting to affect my psyche.
Is there any advice for me? How can I make the itchiness stop and most importantly, is there a way for other people around me to stop being affected when I spend time with them??
I am starting to feel like I AM a disease and other people are better off staying away from me.
Please help if possible as I need to be "together" to raise my child.
Both my parents died early of cancer and I have little family to confide in.
Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.
Have a great day!
Jenna

Hi, Jenna -

Itchy skin in the absence of other symptoms doesn't prove Morgellons (and I hope it is the case that you don't have it!).

Have you been to a doctor? If you have something known and easily recognized, that would be the place to start.

I don't know what to say about making other people itchy. Some here say that occurs for them, but it has not been my experience. Not saying that nobody ever scratches when they are around me, they do. But no more than would be normal.

Default itchy even as I type...

I hope to god I don't have morgellons but I can't seem to figure out what else it may be. I feel so sorry for those who suffer from this difficult frustrating and bothersome issue!
I have been to see a dr more than once. I was told to use large amounts of unscented cream after I shower but the problem has not got any better whether I bathe for 30 minutes with oils or lather myself up with the cream.
I am noticing more and more that the people around me are contageous from me and the dr's don't seem to believe I have any problem whatsoever. One dr gave me a prescription for a anti-hystimane (sp?) which just usually makes me drowsy so I can sleep but the problem is right back again in the morning when I wake up and face the world.
I feel like there are creepy crawly critters that move all over my body practically all the time. I have checked my bed for bugs and find small black specks sometimes but I never have actual bite marks on my skin to indicate bed bugs or some such thing. I have moved and purchased a new bed thinking that May have been the problem but alas, I have yet to find the solution.
I try so hard to tell myself it's nothing, maybe just a mental thing now that I'm aware of it, this problem simply wont go away. People around me are ALWAYS itching and it's not the normal amounts. When I'm conversing with someone I will think something silly like... "wow, it's been almost a minute and they haven't scratched at their face etc" and then moments later they do and I think "guess that was too good to be true". I am really in desperate need to find some sort of cure and fast.
I'm not a crazy person. I have post secondary education and own my own business. I'm just tired of feeling like this and hoping someone in this forum might be able to help find a solution for me.
Thanks so much for your time.
*sigh*
Jenna.

Hi Jenna...

At the height of my infection, I would make people itch around me. It was hard not to notice. I would go get my car worked on, and in no time, people would start scratching while I was in the waiting room.. or people would come talk to me at work, and would start scratching when they were around me. They did not seem to scratch from afar. Another person I worked with would not stop itching/scratching their nose while I was around..

I believe that I had some really bad yeast/fungal/mold overgrowth on my skin at the time. It wasn't obvious to me since I had no lesions, but my skin was quite red, and it would flare up rashy if I put some type of antifungal cream/natural essential oil on the skin. I believe it was yeast/mold/fungal spores coming off my skin that was causing others to feel itchy.

As I have treated my skin religiously over the last number of months, my skin is much, much better. As time went on, I stopped having that effect on people. I tried all kinds of things, including skin topicals and baths. For baths, I took epsom salt/baking soda baths, ocassionally tried borax for a bit. I tried vinegar and salt baths as well. ESP botanicals makes a bath soak for morgellons which is excellent! It really purges specks and bugs from the skin. It would also help reduce yeast/fungus on the skin as well. For topicals, I religiously used the the ESP botanicals soaps and body balm. This really helped eliminated the crawling and itching for me. I still use it daily. I also use DSP cream. I use all kinds of topicals before bedtime: I've tried olive oil mixed with GSE, olive oil mixed with tea tree oil and DE, olive oil with eucalyptus and lavender oils, and jojoba oil and coconut oil alone helps. One of the best topical treatments I have used has been the barley treatment. You can search on this site for how to use it. I used it daily and then tapered off once my skin was greatly improved. Barley has chitinase in it that will break up funguses made of chitin. It was by far the most effective treatment for me. Once I realized it was yeast/fungus on my skin that I was fighting, I was religious with the products. I itch rarely now and don't have any more bugs... I still have the weird larva things, but they are greatly reduced.

It took months for me to get my skin under control, it won't be overnight.. I feel almost normal again (not sure I remember what "normal" was ! ) hope this helps you some....

Jenna -

You have to start somewhere, and start simply.

Get some Opaline dry oxy caps Opaline Solutions

And Happy Tummy 1: TUMMY SSAGE, Inc.

If you can afford it, get Dr. Hildy's Far Infrared pad or go to a pay as you go FIR sauna. Healing Grapevine

There will be other products on this link you might consider, as well as recommendations.

Take Lyseine and Elderberry caps as instructed on the labels.

Get a GOOD whole food vitamin/mineral with herbs supplement from your health food store.

Don't use chemicals; wash cloths with borax and bioclean. Clean yourself in Pure Life soaps & shampoo (least amount of chemicals), and occasionally soak in tub for 1/2 hour in Dead Sea salts.

Get an air purifier with Hepa filter and ionizer. If it has has UVC light, too, even better.

That is a LOT. But it is someplace to start.

Oh - and pray. I did an awful lot of that!!!

I almost forgot.. a very important thing. Your diet. You cannot eat things that feed yeast/mold/fungus. Switch to an anti-candida diet. It will help tremendously. Nowadays I don't itch much, but if I eat something I shouldn't (carb-wise,sugar-wise), I will start to itch again.

Smile diet

Hi j3d, I know how hard it is to change your diet, but try this for at least a week...no sugar at all! I have been off sugar ever since I started with this mess we call morgs. This Christmas I allowed myself to have some sweets and the itchies started up big time again. Right now my buttocks are still a little itchy. Maybe you can tolerate some carbs, good carbs, but try the no sugar test and see if it helps. Just a simple thing to do that could help you. DD

Hi Peoples!!!
Jenna, I've read some other Morgellon's victims saying they thought ppl itched around them...As far as us Morgies being contagious, I have spoken or emailed with 3 folks who say their kids were born with Morgellon's from them (1 dad, 2 diff. moms) and a nurse who said she thought that it was def. possible - I think our bloodstream is contaminated, but I don't think it sounds like it's airborne from us. We just don't know for sure yet...(I'm not gonna give blood until we know, anyway)
I contracted Morgellon's cleaning up litter on 03/25/06. I've since stayed on vacations with family/shared bathrooms/close quarters, I was nervous even going near my family's dog, at first - I think when we see members of a household/family infected - I feel it's because they contracted it in the same fashion (my theory: pesticide) or from an infected parent, when they were born.
I've been rather "close" with 2 guys since the above date...All in all, I'd say I felt like I put at least 15 people inc. family, at risk. I was scared to even go around anyone for a while. I have watched them all like a hawk, because I would never want anyone else to have to go though this, especially someone I care about. Honestly, Jenna: not one person I've been close to has shown 1 symptom. 1 of the guys I dated in 2007 is an author, doctor, real estate developer - a total genius of a hero who helped me get through the horror of finding all this out: He's fine. I check on him, still. I'm sure he went and read more/asked peers, he is mainstream med. and hates the naturo-cleansing-vits vs. Big Pharma. He likes making big money too much to risk his brain or bod, so him still wanting to spoon during our many sleepovers tells me the risk was minimal. None of my people have shown 1 single symptom.
Don't isolate yourself/make this scarier or harder that it already is: Be good to yourself. If you do have Morgellon's, you're going to need support. Carry on with everything normal that you always did, keep yourself in good spirits, don't let people (or bad docs) bring you down...if you try to talk to them about Morgellon's and they treat you shabbily, I just end the conversation and don't discuss it with them again. Perhaps they'll catch on someday.
I will say this: I have never seen people be there for each other like Morgellon's Victims. We have gotten each other through and I am really proud of us all for being there for each other! Thank you to those who support your fellow victims and good folks like our site-host!
I would like to hear from the folks who want to take ACTION: I've seen a few folks on here speakin' my language - RIGHT ON: We've waited long enough for the U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Cover Up) to produce results. Let's FORCE some results. I now have to worry that I shouldn't have kids. I'm tired of letting the lives of others be ruined. Please mail me: Let's organize.
On a pleasant note: I am healing like Shock and Awe. I read Vitamin D wards off Swine Flu, so I started taking it around Thanksgiving for that and was FLOORED when I realized it was doing something amazing for Morgellon's. I've taken a lot of herbs, cleanses and two evil antibiotics since 03/2006 - I'd throw it ALL in the garbage vs. what Vit D has done since around Xmas. Has anyone taken huge amounts of Vitamin D yet or am I the first willing guinea pig? I knew I felt better each time I hit the tanning bed!
Keep up the Good Work of being there for each other/thank you to non-victims who research, fight for and support us...
