Hello, I am new to this site, although not new to Morgellon's. I've been afflicted with this horror for almost one year. I have quite a few questions............ My first wound was localized and was in a state of some sort of remission. Recent stress spiraled me into Morgellon's hell again and now, not only do I have an alien growing in my chin, but now this has spread to my forehead, (I closely resemble cyclops) and my chin is irritated and I have various other patches rapidly emerging all over my body. The kicker....I have Kaiser insurance. Does anyone know of a Dr. in So. CA that treats this? ![]()

I've had Morgellons for approx. one year. Dr. Bradley Friedman (located in S. Calif.) treated me for the Morgellons. He generally does cosmetic procedures -- however, he's a very well trained, intelligent and compassionate doctor who has experience as an internist. Unlike my 3 HMO doctors who finally decided I was crazy and self-inflicting my wounds, Dr. Friedman listened to me explain that I had a new type of parasitic infection that was not in the medical books. He did a lot of research on medications that might work and cured about 90% of my Morgellons using Stromectol, Permethrin, Eurax and Bactrin. Friedman doesn't take insurance, however, and expects to be paid in cash up front. Still, he will probably quote you a reasonable fee ahead of time if you explain your situation over the phone to his nurse/receptionist. Dr. Friedman was also kind enough to write my HMO doctors that they were wrong about my not having a skin parasite. Dr. Friedman's phone number is (310) 268-2288. He's located at 11613 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064. I was seeing him for chronic fatigue and an extremely low metabolic rate at the time I got Morgellons. Unfortunately, I believe Dr. Friedman's office is still closed for Christmas for the first week of 2010.

Shelli - If you don't want to take prescription drugs (many here do not), Dr. Staninger is also in LA, and doesn't take insurance. She is an industrial toxicologist and knows poisons very well. All her methods are natural. ChatCat started a thread about her. Her's her website: staningerreport.com SS
