Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if I have Morgellons or not, but I have some symptoms. I'm on my second dermatologist who can't find anything. Well, here's my story. I've had dandruff for awhile, but didn't really pay attention to anything until late August early September. The "dandruff", wasn't coming out, and I tried every dandruff shampoo, brushing, etc, nothing. I also have to state I had locks (dreadlocks), so whatever I had was living in my locks, and the dandruff had to be nits. After a few disturbing incidences, crawling sensation, I cut my locks off. I saw many nits in the locks (hindsight I wish I would have kept a few for the derm). I cut my hair down some more, and thought that was it. Then, I not only felt movement in my scalp, but they spread to the rest of my body. I thought I had lice or scabies, but I don't. I've had over 5 treatments of Premetherin, and they calm down, but they don't die. The only thing that's keeping me sane is the fact that I actually experienced hatched larvae in my pubic area (I've had a gyne check, all clear). If something hatched, it has to be "something". I haven't had any open lesions, but I do have a few black specks. Most of my irritation/crawling is in my scalp. I pull out lint balls, and sometimes they look like small arachnids. Lately, I've been combing and pulling out what look like gray hairs, and I'm convinced they are either worms, or the legs. Almost done. The one thing I've noticed are the black hair looking things that have sprung up around the house. Since I also feel crawling in my pubic area, I've cut my hair down there again, and I've wiped away long strands of "black hair", they are too long to be pubic hair. This is where I'm confused. I don't think I've come across anyone with this problem, but I haven't ready everything here yet. If anyone has any questions, comments, please let me know. I'm going to upload these "hairs/threads", to see if they look familiar to anyone. I'm trying to fight this with all I have, especially with prayer. My sister and her husband are expecting their first baby next year, and I'll be a first time aunt. I'm overjoyed, yet saddened because I don't feel I'll be able to hold the baby. I didn't even hug my sister when she told me. ![]() Well, that's my rant/story. I'm glad to have found this site...

hey you Im new here too..you will find much comfort here and will find some one who has your story too. but more importantly..search for your answers to help you heal. how ever it may be. Positive thinking and prayers for you..for us both. Im still learning so cant help you yet. except to let you know you are not alone wondering what the hell is this in my body, am I going to make it? and how do i ease pain and get rid of this demon or how do wedeal with it to be able to function in every day world. I have spent the last 4 months of my life trying to prove to people that I see and have something eating me and crawling on me, and that Im not delisional even though my tests coming back crazily negative. now if I had spent these 4 months focusing on healing and getting better..i would be ahead in life. a Waste of energy. I have lost a LOT of friends and family (almost) on this one..as for the friends..clearly not friends then. good luck and get rested.

Just a word about testing. If we don't know exactly what causes this, we can't test for it. Or - if Dr. Staninger is correct and this is caused by nanotechnology, how do we test for that??!? Certain tests will be elevated as they relate to this condition, but again, the person ordering the test HAS TO KNOW what to test for. Almost all oc my tests (initially) came in normal, with some elevations. But when I had the tests done that Dr. Staninger ordered, it was a different story. SS

Hi Everyone, Thank you for the welcome and the advice. Some days I feel like I'm going to lose my mind if the 2nd dermatologist tells me there's nothing he can do. I have an appt. scheduled with a 3rd doctor in January. She specializes in infectious diseases and tropical dermatology, so I'm hoping she's seen some crazy things in her practice. I hate thinking that she could be my last hope. I can't remember the last time I've had a good night's sleep. I usually have to douse my scalp in DE in order for the crawling to stop, and I've had to stop myself from taking benadryl because I use it more so to make me sleep than to stop the itching. The itching only happens or becomes intense during the "mite" cycle. Kritters, now that I think about it, the corners in my shower can be a bit moldy, and I've tried (with gloves on), to clean it up. Maybe I should look into this as a connection? Again, thank you for the welcome, and I'm so glad to have found you all. ![]()

Hi Dwn, Welcome to the site and your symptoms sound familiar and we've all had an unusually long 'wild' black or white hair at one time or another, or thought we had scabies or mites initially - this is a normal first reaction. You can do a search on most any subject and find posts pertaining to it... just speak up if you have any concerns, this is a nice group of people, someone will respond.

Oh, I don't know where I should post this, but when I thought I had lice, I used this natural product called Delacet. I'm so glad I kept it because this is also something besides DE that keeps the crawling at bay at night. I believe it's made of larkspur and vinegar (apple cider?). I don't have the packaging anymore, but I have some left over in a spray bottle. I've also sprayed it on my body when the itching gets bad, and it helps...

Hi DW! welcome to MDR, I had the same problem that you discribe at fist. The National Padiculosis Hmm not sure if my spelling is right, but they did a sample study years back. folk's thought they had head lice, but a number of folk didn't, check out their site, head lice.org National Pidiculosis assn. click research, 2 years back they got on board with O K State, if it is Morgellon it might be a while before you get a lesion, their are degrees of infection. Hope this is helpful. Sincerely: Doc ![]()
