| Nobody's posted here for a while, but this is a great thread for information and guidance. Thought I'd share my experience. I've been fighting this for over a year, getting progressively worse. Lesions increasing, biting, crawling, sinus and ear problems. Finally went on a crusade to really figure this thing out and try to turn things around. Assuming imbalance in immune system and possible candida infection, went on anti-yeast diet and started taking anti-yeast supplements including probiotics and lots of garlic. Some of the supplements had grapeseed extract and Pau D'arco and other things mentioned here. Started seeing definite improvement. Four days ago started on Kyolic 103 / Grapeseed extract / cat's claw / very good probiotic (2-3 pills each 2x per day) as per this thread. All found at Whole Foods market. Also continuing anti-yeast supplement and Neem pills and low sugar / no soda / no alcohol / no chocolate (killer!) very limited processed foods diet. Not only am I losing some weight, but things seem to be coming back into balance again. For the first time in years the dark circles under my eyes are disappearing. I was thinking they were hereditary. Definitely some die-off going on, especially in the head, sinuses, lower digestive system, muscle soreness. When I started the anti-yeast it felt like I was coming down with the flu for a few days. The weather turned very warm yesterday here in Florida, as usual the bugs really started going to town and I started getting the usual bites etc. Don't have a clue where they are coming from, environment is cleaned judiciously weekly, laundry with Borax, etc, they must be coming from my body. Typically after such a bout things get worse with the lesions. (Will definitely try the Menthol crystals and enzyme cleaner next.) But it looks like this time around my body is able to handle it---new sores are very small and are easily taken care of, they don't become infected and enlarge as before. Whatever the parasite is (it seems like some sort of nematode or trematode---possibly from Asia), it seems the skin environment is now much more hostile to it. By the way, strong herbal mint toothpaste is very effective at controlling and healing sores. Also I have tried several Biosilk treatments on entire skin---results were much better than expected, apparently whatever this is can't survive at all in that stuff and literally crawls out of the skin. Clearly the Biosilk therapy doesn't kill the eggs though or possible internal sources. I'm not continuing that treatment at this time as it is synthetic and I don't what what it does to your body overall and over time---a natural cure of bringing the body into balance and letting the body deal with it naturally seems a better long-term proposition. The Giovanni Triple Tea Tree shampoo is widely available at Target stores. Look in the cosmetics section for the "Giovanni" natural products---NOT the shampoo aisle. Finally did a really thorough search of the store and found it in cosmetics at the 3rd Target, although website said it was in stock at the others---that was very annoying, nobody was available to help find it either. Other shampoos I've found to be about as effective as the Triple Treat are Denorex Extra Strength (widely available, Wal-Mart etc) and a huge 32-oz bottle of Philip B. brand Peppermint and Avocado Shampoo I found one time at TJMaxx for $8, it is 2.3% pure peppermint oil plus 11 other essential oils. Both appear to act as a local anaesthetic as the Giovanni does, they're so strong. Neem lotion on the skin also seems to help with the lesions and healing. Before the anti-yeast treatment, though, the Neem lotion didn't seem to be very effective. Thanks John for the advice and for the others for posting here. After trying many, many treatments, finally I see some progress and feel like I'm on a healthy road to recovery. Last edited by B Larry; March 14th, 2010 at 10:27 AM. |

| Wow, it is great to hear your happy news of improved symptoms using mostly natural products. I was especially interested in your additional suggestions for shampoos which may help those who have scalp issues. I think I will add your post to the member suggestions for scalp treatments. This kind of information is very helpful to others who may not have access to Western medical care (which BTW may be a good thing) as the products are readily accessible to anyone. Building the immune system through diet improvement and candida treatment is being done by many here and seems to be part of the picture for many. I agree with you that our parasite symptoms seem to generate internally. Some of us also agree about the nematode/trematode connection although it is possible it is not a problem for everyone. Sarothra has written a lot about nematodes if you want to do an advanced search. Thanks for posting. tcm

| Thanks for the info about Sarothra and nematodes. I did the advanced search----lots of interesting stuff there, I think he's onto something, his reasoning is pretty consistent with my experience, I've examined these things under the hand lens etc and the bells were going off while reading many of his thinkings about the life cycle etc and the links with fungus/bacteria. I also believe the worms are a big part of the problem if not a primary cause. Also explains a LOT about how and where they come from---they seem to come out of nowhere but generally not from the environment, but from other infected areas of the body. Also explains why what I see doesn't match up with any nematode photo on the internet --- EXCEPT for the ones he links to in the threads, for the first time! |

| Thank you for the feedback B. Larry. No chocolate!-- You are a brave Soul. I've heard that dark chocolate is actually very good for you. It's great that you are showing improvement. You've noticed that many of the herbs that we took combat yeast/candida which lowers your natural immunity. We've found that the formulation of garlic called Allimax is also very helpful. My wife and I are TJMaxx fans and will look for the shampoo you mentioned. Thanks. Blue Skies..........John Last edited by jwf; March 24th, 2010 at 04:02 AM. |

| I pasted your herb list into a file, John. I have been taking vitamin and minerals supplements but nothing like this. I am not going down without a fight. I'm glad to have some new ammunition ![]() |

An update: Without explicitly trying to lose weight, I have lost 20 lbs due to herbs (triphala perhaps had a role in this) and change in diet. Found things coming out of my sinuses that looked strongly like shed schistosoma male worm skin... had doc prescribe praziquantel. Within 2 days amazingly sinuses and ears were completely clear---what a relief after so many months of torture (several times daily biting and fullness in the ears) and sinus infections. Also a bad case of sciatica and lower back pain I'd had for several months completely vanished and has not returned after 2 weeks. It was like magic. Still have skin lesions although they seem to be better, many are healing. If somehow they were caused by schistosoma eggs being deposited by the bloodstream, and in fact the schistosoma adults are gone, perhaps the skin will clear with a complete skin regeneration cycle (3-6 weeks) as the eggs are all destroyed? However I feel it is likely I had several things going on, all of which were knocking down my immune system. I also was treated with abendazole for other worm parasites in the 3 days prior to the praziquantel, it was the praz. that seemed to cause the dramatic change though. Definitely my immune system is in much better shape now---I feel lots more energy, that persistent tired feeling is gone and my head is clear---I feel ten years younger. Although my skin is still bothering me a lot, I feel much more like normal again, biting has stopped in my ears, and sinuses are clear. |

| hi all-I'm new here. I am so glad I found this site! I guess I don't have Morgellons, but then I'm not sure I fully understand it. I do have flies and gnats that are attracted to me for the past several years and people have commented to me about them, so that rules out the psychological aspect. It's very embarrassing and humiliating. I will be reading more posts and hope doctors will really get serious about finding cures for this, whether it's supposedly psychological or something they can measure. John~ thanks for the post about the different herbs and remedies, as I am very open to this. Your success story gives hope that there is an answer. |

| I tried using mothballs, but this stuff I found in the supermarket for $9.00 is great for itching and stopping lesions starting to form. The stuff is " J.R. Watkins Apothecary Menthol Camphor spray" which can be bought at Watkinsonline.com and contains eucalyptus, camphor and thymol. The actual purpose of the spray is to help breathing, although it does nothing for me that way. I spray directly on itching skin, particularly in the middle of the night. It sometimes stings a little for a moment, but not for long. |

| My boyfriend and I are both inflicted with this horrible nightmare. We have both taken several rounds of antibiotics. Bactrim seemed to work the best for us. We have also taken medications to kill the parasites within our intestines (Endo Cleanse0 We use NutraSilver as well as UV3 lights. Various cremes and lotions(Nivea Creme) has worked best for us. We spray a disinfected called (All Stop). The combination of all these things along with good house keeping practices has helped us get the upper hand with this menis we all call Morgellons. I hope our experiences can help somebody out there get a little releif. God Bless. ![]() |
