Finding A Doctor To Help

I started this thread to help others with Morgellons symptoms locate help. Fortunately there is help, but you may have to do a bit of digging yourself to find someone you like. There are lists of doctors that Carla (our moderator) maintains and some of these doctors do treat Morgellons. You can contact her for information and to find out if there are any doctors in your state (not every state has listings however). There are other ways to find doctors and if you get on the infectious disease doctor referral link you will find doctors in every state, another source of help. Just do not mention Morgellons or you may find yourself labeled as delusional.

Hi Shaula -

I highly encourage you to seek out a naturopathic doctor or an MD that uses primarily holistic and natural medicine. Get someone who can treat more than just symptoms. You need to find someone who can help you figure out why you got ill with M in the first place and correct these things so your body can heal.

We all have underlying reasons to why we are ill and others are not. My husband and I were both exposed at the same time for the same length of time (a mold-filled environment), yet I got really ill and he did not.

In my journey of healing, I'm discovering all kinds of underlying problems!
Good luck to you, and don't be discouraged if the first person you seek out is not the right one. Keep looking.

I should have mentioned (thanks for reminding me gigi) that the first post I made in the finding a doctor thread has a link to another post I made about alternative doctor organizations. Perhaps I will copy the post and repost it under the finding a doctor thread for easier access for those seeking such care. There was also a naturopathic organization found in that link. These organizations have doctors listed by state.
