Hello,

King of Pain here. The user name is derived from my legal name, and its easy for me to remember. I am not a sadist or masochist. I prefer comfort.

I encountered my first Morgellons symptoms in early 2009. I am currently unemployed as I resigned my job due to stress, in part from my Morgellons symptoms.

One of my first symptoms that I encountered early this year was the feeling of insects crawling down my face from my hairline to my eyelids. I also had severe itching on my arms, legs, face and scalp. After treatment for skin parasites with a topical cream, my symptoms persisted, and got stranger. I began taking pictures and videos of the unidentified crawling objects (UCO's) that I would brush off of my scalp face and limbs. I was extremely disappointed in my visits to doctors who told me that there was nothing on me except for skin flakes. They did not examine the sores on my legs, arms, or face. I realized that the doctors believed that I was delusional. The doctors' opinsions were made hastily with almost no consideration of the details I had collected.

I have become increasingly bewildered, after friends, family, and co-workers have turned their backs to me. I had never before in my life been treated as if I were mentally ill. I have had to endure not only the symptoms of the disease, but the humiliation of being talked to as if I were a 3-yr old,a liar who will not admit his drug use, or just a nut. I no longer discuss the issue with anyone, as they seem to just never contact me again.

Its a lonely place to be in, and I hope that this website will help me find new friends who understand this strange disease and the feelings of being ostracized.

Hi King, I know exactly what your talking about. It was such a relief for me to find somewhere, where people actually believe me. This is such a bizarre disease that it is hard for people that do not have it to comprehend the hell that we go through daily. You will be welcome here and believed!!! That is important to have some one believe us. Anyway as i was told when I first found this site, search the threads for your symptoms and go back and look at the old ones. They are filled with tried and proven protocols for all kind's of morgie stuff. Welcome and Good Luck on you're journey to wellness!!!

Hello King of Pain,
Welcome ! Sad but when drs talk and treat you in the manner in which they did, you have been diagnosed with Morgellons. It just takes a while of going around in circles in the medical system to figure it out. We pretty much all have been treated the same way. So consider yourself diagnosed and look for all the helpful treatments on this site. I hope if you jump on these treatments early they will help you and your disease will not progress like it has in me. Good Luck!

Hi KP!

It never ceases to make my day when someone like you finds this forum after being mistreated and degraded.

While it's a very hurtful and insulting experience when those you call friends and family, not to mention so-called 'professionals' cannot/will not see what is happening with you, at least with regard to the friends/family, I've just realized they are ignorant and could never open their minds long enough to let a logical thought inside....so I just don't even bother.

We are your new friends and family!! And we won't mind if you forgive them later....we'll still be here. Also, we're your new 'professionals' ;-) You will learn so much here.

Your words capture the experiences and feelings of the majority of us, in eloquent and clear language.

My heart goes out to you, as I remember those early days so well. The terror, the pain of ostracism by family, friends, and the medical community are almost more than the average person could ever be expected to bear.

Please stay close to us and get whatever support or advice you need to get through the darkest of days. You will emerge from these days and reclaim your life, even if it is not the way it once was.
