| OK. I stumbled upon this site a couple of days ago. I was trying to look up what these things are that I pull out of my face. This has been going on with me for sooo long. In my case, it is definitely meth-related. You see, I wasted 2 years of my life being addicted to meth. But when I found out I was pregnant, I quit cold turkey and never looked back. That was nearly 14 years ago (my son just turned 13)! I consider myself lucky. A lot of the people I knew back then (and their kids) weren't so lucky. It's well known that meth addicts pick their faces, and I was always kind of a "picky" person to begin with. But the white "beans" (as chester calls them) that you pull out, that sometimes retract into the hole if you can't grab it tight enough. The sticky serum stuff that creates the callus on the surface. The little tentacles clinging to the back of the callus. I have that. And it started when I was on meth. The weird thing is, when I would snort a line, within seconds the lesions would start tingling, itching, burning, weeping. That's why I think the two are related (in my case). I think maybe there was something put in meth (my conspiracy theory ) by the DEA or something. As a way of weeding us out, marking us, whatever. Or maybe I came in contact with it at that time another way.I don't suffer from it all the time, but right now I am. I get a lesion on my face always the same old place, in the middle of my chin below the left corner of my mouth. Once that starts, a few smaller ones crop up around it. So right now I have 2 unsightly lesions on my face that I try to cover with makeup when I'm not pulling out the white seeds and soaking up the resulting blood. I just can't believe so many others have this! When it first happened to me, we didn't have the internet and I couldn't find anything about it. I honestly thought I was pulling out irritated nerve endings!! I'm not a stupid person, but that's all I could think of and I still thought that until 2 days ago. Thank you! |

| Saramar - First, do you have any other symptoms? How long can you go between "episodes"? There seems to be so many triggers for Morgellons, but in my own mind they are that - triggers - for something else as yet unidentified. I am interested in every kind of case I hear - the desperately sick and the mild cases - and everything in between. I'm not physically keeping track of them, just in my mind. Of course you know that the vast majority of people with Morgellons have not been meth users, and many never even dabbled with marijuana. Not saying there isn't some possible contribution from the meth; it is something to consider. Please tell us more of your history (go to the poll). I hope you find useful tips here. SS |

| Hiya Saramar, I'm glad you found this forum also. It seems we all thought we were alone in our misery, and we are not. I hope you and your son will benefit from what information you find here. Kritters |

| Hi Saramar, I'm glad you have at least one of you questions answered ....and also to know that you aren't alone .........there are some real good people on this site that know how you feel.I'm a newbie here, I have only had noticeable symptoms for about 6 months now. What state are you in ?? Maybe someone knows of more support in your area on the site...Hope to hear more from you. Eaglewings |

| Welcome saramar (& Eaglewings, too), Thank you for joining this site. I look forward to your posts. I've dabbled into almost everything, if you get my drift. But I have never found a correlation between the dabbling and "Morgellons". However, I have noticed the response my body has when I eat fast food, processed packaged food, and I believe that prescriptions also affect us. When you are at the grocery store, have your son read the ingredients on the labels. If he can't pronounce the word and you have no idea what the ingredient is, then you shouldn't buy it. I have a daughter who is 10 years old and this is a good way to enlighten us both: when she wants me to buy something that "looks" good, I have her read the ingredients and soon after she says "oooh, gross" and puts it back on the shelf or back into the freezer. I also believe in homeopathic and natural medicine. The government is trying to take it away from us. | Many people have these issues long before they compromise their immune system with caustic drugs. You did not have to show signs of this before the METH, you could have still had it. Did you have red marks on skin, thinning hair, foggy brain, tired, itching in ears, exzema, white pimples on the back of your arms, white spots when you got a tan, issues in your mouth, geographic tongue, so so many things. The other HEAVY risk factor was the choice of men that come with drug use, most of them are not real picky about who, when or where they have sex. Most likely you had this BEFORE the meth in some form, then you got mixed up with the wrong sexual partners, while your immune system was beat down by the meth and on top of that you became pregnant. The pregnancy took all the nutriants you needed to fight back. Can I ask you, did you get alot worse after giving birth. I have seen that also happen. The skin was excellent but the strain of giving birth thru them into bad skin city. It took a woman I know several years to beat that back, she used ACCUTANE and had a reversal of the skin problems, for 30 years now. It took two years because all the doctors treated her with antibiotics and steroids, that made her worse, ACCUTANE alleviated her condition, i do see a tiny bit of problems now with her skin, and a little with her health. If my kidneys were better I would try the stuff myself!!!! |

| Saramar, I also believe that there is a connection between meth use and morgellons symptoms. I also feel there is a connection/similarities to mercury poisoning. I think meth as well as dental adhesives act as carriers of mercury into the nerve system. I had morgellons/NCS symptoms and got better with the removal of the primary source of toxins (in my case amalgam fillings) and aggresive removal of secondary deposits throughout my body (via chelation). Consider mercury as a neurotoxins. It can be passed prenatally. Does your son have any symptoms such as ADD, ADHD, or autism? If so, it could be related. Hope this is helpful, Joe |

Hi Jonsi, if you allow me to say this...I think you are doing a great job with telling and showing your daughter which food is 'good' for you and her or not. I have done this with my kids too..because I think it is very important for them to know what's going on with those food additives..etc.... Katinka |

| Thank you everyone. Yes since yesterday I've been doing some thinking (and googling) and I believe I was infected with this before I did meth. I think the chemicals in meth irritated my system and caused the sores to itch, tingle, and feel creepy-crawly. Looking back, I can think of lots of things that pointed toward this before my drug phase. My pregnancy was not the healthiest. I gained 60 lbs and my gums started bleeding really bad. My teeth even moved a little. I've managed to reverse the gum disease myself by flossing like crazy, using peroxide and other mouth rinses. It took me about 4 years to get my body back. I have joint pain, yeast/fungus issues, and I have seen those blue fiber things in my owies. I always thought it was a piece of a thread from my jeans or something! Sugar is very bad for me. When I eat sugar it makes my armpits itch uncontrollably! Has anyone else experienced that? My doctor said it was because of stress. Funny, because when I put anti-fungal cream on them it stops instantly. OK I'm off to fill out the survey! Thanks again you guys. |

since you have this 'theory' too, I would like to ask you if you have noticed if your symptoms got worse after amalgam removal? I mean shortly after and if so what did you do to treat it or did you de-tox your body before the amalgam fillings have been removed? and also to boost the immune system...? in order to prevent reaction? The reason why I am asking this is that I need dental treatment shortly and want to be prepared if I need to add anything extra to my protocol.. Thanks for reply. Katinka |
