hi! JUST WANTED TO ASK ALL HERB USERS-
do any of you have kidney and liver function tests done before you start to take all of these home remadies?and then have one done several months into home treatment? i just cant see how consuming all of these [herbs]
also known as drugs after a few scientific processes.can be good for some one with an already compromised imune system just wondering if you have can you say what if anything changed in your tests?

I'm 49 and have never had any blood tests run! Maybe I shouldn't admit that (which is worse? admitting my age or not having my cholesterol checked ? ... )

I wouldn't worry about herbs if I were you. A pinch of this or that is healthy, just follow the recipe.

not just blood there are lot of tests for kidny and liver functions
on here a lot of people talk about chinese hurbs or regimines of different natural treatments and as the body breaks down these herbs they become chemicals in body and wonder if short term reliefe is not payed fore with permant damage to [liver kidneys]not wanting to rain on parade but not all people should take some of this stuff just trying to keep open mind and help at same time

This site is about the government trying to take control over natural remedies and spreading fear about side affects because the government and pharmaceutical companies want to control us and make money on natural remedies. I, for one, do not want to have to get a prescription for a glass of orange juice (vitamin C).

It sounds like you are afraid. AGAIN, what herbal home remedies are YOU talking about? Please let us know what you are afraid of!!! Otherwise I will pick much harder.

affraid of everthing! its no way to live but i have just about reached the end of careing one way or the other.suffered from this disease for years went threw it all my body is so scared you would not believe it.now brain fog [can't remember s---.come in to house to get something forget what i came in for.my extremities are numb most of the time drop everthing i pick up [cant hold on to hardly anything any more] my eyes are bothering me other day itched so bad then looked at eye and hole in white part of eye in corner of eye was white [worm looking thing]like in pics on my albms.eye dont itch as bad but still fogy at times my health is slowly fadeing withverry little i can do about it dr said eye was floter or salarium[something like that].liver biopsy showed cerrosis of liver have hade my kidneys shut down[renal failue] started back up but who knows how long that will last all the drugs prescribed to help actually make me feel worse so don't take most of them
friends are things of the past [who wants to hang with a moddern day lepper].affraid yes i am but not for me for wife and 2 kids who see dad shrivel up and [for lack of better word ] die?you see if i start on a herbal remedy and it does not work then what time i have left will be lost... due to [over working liver? kidneys i cant be sure if will help or hurt scared you bet i am!

This may not be true for all, but my condition while not delapitating was quite severe on my skin. The things that got me to this point was steroids and antibiotics. How horrible a situation, I went from red skin in places to full blown lesions, ugly awful stuff. The doctors could give me NOTHING to help for any time. Then I started to look online for all that was happening to me. I wanted to find out what this was, I knew it was destroying me inside but doctors said your as healthy as a horse. I was exactly that, yes, healthy as a plow horse that was 25 years old!

The only option, follow those that have gone another route, what they used did not always help me but many did. I am happy to say I am getting better all the time.

There is one fact that makes me laugh at the idle minded doctors as they hand out drugs that support the idea you CAN and WILL die from them, its not a guess it says it in the directions. It is so bad some are called (BLACK BOX DRUGS) drugs that have killed or maimed so many that they come with special warnings. Then they will warn you of a possibility that you may have some sort of problem with food or natural remadies, DANGER DANGER they say of natural stuff as they hand you poison. Your choice of taking all the symptom drugs that a doctor gives you without question is very dangerous. I will not take them, not yet, I am too healthy to kill myself with the help of a doctor.


I still have problems with my kidneys if I drink too much beer or caffine drinks. I can imagine that your prescription drugs are kicking your butt. A lot of walking and correct eating goes a long way, supplaments also help. You may want to try bakeing soda to help the kidneys.

I will bet an allergy panel will show you allergic to most meats as they contain steroids and antibiotics now.
Go to a natural doctor to see what they say, have a hair test done to see what your lacking in your diet. Do some exersize. I would never say do not take the medication that the doctor gives you, but try hard to make sure it is not the reason your condition gets worse.

One last thing, NEVER accept a diagnosis for drugs without a positive result from testing. You may not want to start with the doctors testing but the tests that other people here have positive results from, also try not to accept symptom drugs or maitainance drugs. Tell the doctor you want to find out the CAUSE of your high blood pressure or what have you, you would like to treat the CAUSE not the SYMPTOM. Many doctors go no further than prescribing drugs, its easy and fast for them, while it always has an adverse affect apon you.

so true a lions share of the drugs prescribed just mask sympt- do not treat the cause wile the disease continues utreated till it is to late to be treated efectively. i think i'm one of the one's who have went to long.i am47 feel like
80 if i can get someone to have tests done and prevent them from takeing meds-herbs that over time will damage something then it it will be a good day!ahy i think so

I had started an excel sheet months ago documenting the common 'auto-immune' diseases (or syndromes) such as MS, Lupus, CFS, FM, etc. to see what they had in common. Other things took precedence, but one thing they ALL have in common is that they don't know the cause or the cure. Nor do they care to know as long as there is a prescription for it. When I saw the (self-declared) Lyme "specialist" nearby (what a joke he was) he looked at my face and it was mid-summer and I had a tan and saw slight reddishness on cheeks (being 61, I'm allowed this Irish trait) and I mean SLIGHT...BARELY COULD BE SEEN...he said it was probably rosascea, which if you hit alt-click right now on the word, you will see the definition of and I had not a pimple, pustule, lesion or any otherwise mark on my face. He said because of that brilliant diagnosis, I might have LUPUS!!! So, tell you what...back to what Lamb was accurately saying about doctors leaving practice because of insurance, etc. this is one doctor who should have left a loooong time ago. grrrr.

So when your doc tells you that you have something, just ask him/her what causes it and what the cure is.
