HI everyone my name is Kourtney and I am a brand new Morgellons sickie. I never have had anything like this in my entire life- it is the strangest, most uncomfortable, disgusting thing I have ever even heard of!!!!! I can't figure out how I got this and what is worse, my 5 month old baby boy has it as well!!!!! I keep asking God- Why? I see me getting this as maybe a challenge or karma- but WHAT DID MY LITTLE ANGEL DO TO DESERVE THIS? He has gone from being the happiest- most active baby boy on the planet to either sleeping or screaming his head off all day!!!! He is so miserable and uncomfortable- I dread giving him baths anymore because it seems to make the little wormies extremely active...... Anyways- I talked to Dr. Amin today- and he wants me to come in- I guess he works from home????? But now reading your posts- I have NO MONEY as I cannot work due to how bad my baby boy has this. I can't take him to a sitter- his last one couldn't handle him anymore since all he did was scream and squirm and flail. I am so lost and scared.....What do I do for him? Should I know anything that I should NOT do- like certain foods not to feed him? Also he is extremely congested and has a cough from the build up in his nose and throat.....How do I help him? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! I also would love to hear any suggestions on my own discomfort and how to make my skin look normal again......I look like I have the measels. Thank you for your time guys!!!

Hello Kourtny, I am so sorry to hear that you and your baby are infected with this living nightmare. If you go to the home page there are suggestions there for helping children and yourself. I can't be of much help to you as I am fairly new to this also, but there are many others here that will be along to guide you. there are some smart people here and they are always willing to help. I wish you luck with helping that baby. It sounds as if he is having a really hard time. If you need an ear, mine are always here, you are welcome to pm me. DD

Oh, God, Kourtney - I am SO sorry!!! Whenever I read stories like yours my heart breaks in a million pieces. You are right - it is SO unfair to the innocents even more than to us as adults. Dr. Amin has a clinic. One of the arguments that has been made against his theory is that babies don't have teeth/dental work. He may say that the "toxins" were passed to the baby through the placenta. I am guessing you don't have health insurance?? It would be good if you could have a doctor look at your baby, if that is possible. One thing about Dr. Amin's approach is echoed by lots of people - DETOX. Maybe you could research "organic baby food', or the like? I will say a special prayer for the two of you. SS

Hello Kourtney, I'm sorry to hear about you and your baby. There is nothing worse than to see your baby suffer and not be able to do anything. The only thing I would recomment is to keep your baby away from any sugar if you can and to try to give her/him lots of water (I'd shake some salt into the bottle) Hopefully you've been nursing since he/she needs all the help for it's immune system. If the baby cries, just try not to be upset as you know it's not its fault and just hold it and love it and if you have to just take it to a clinic for care. Kritters

Kourtney, I am also so sorry to hear about you and your baby! I would def. suggest in the mean time to detox your baby and yourself (especially if you are breast feeding). Drinking Chamomile Tea before you breastfeed may help your little one to relax. Def. do stay away from as many "toxins" as possible, both in food and in cleaning products, laundry det., etc... My heart goes out to you, and know that this will not be forever. much lv, jillee ![]()

Hi Kyoss...How awful for you, what a worry to have your baby with this disease as well as yourself, have you any idea how you caught it, I would be scared to suggest anything to give to your baby, as a lot of the things we take can make you quite ill, surely there there is a doctor who would be compassionate enough to try & help your baby, does money mean so much to the greedy people in this world. Why is'nt there a charity for the research of this disease, your child & other young people are the future, I can only suggest you look up on the forum,GSE, MMS, Colloidal silver,VIT supplements, in the search box at top of page, they would help with your skin problem, you need to get rid of the parasites as soon as possible, at least this would make you stronger to be able to cope with your little one, my heart goes out to you... I'm so sorry and I can relate wholeheartedly to your feelings. I am a mother of a 2 year old and 3 year old. I'm sure it's different because they are a little older, but here's what I've done for them. My 3 year old had some lesions around her lips - not as bad as mine, but she complained of pain and itching. I know now that the nematodes are in her mouth, attached to the nerves running to the teeth. I do run my finger along her outer gums and try to gently push on them. They will collapse a little, but I don't really think it kills them. On myself, I just push real hard and crush them, but even on myself I don't think it kills them in the mouth. Anyway, just so you know, they are probably in his mouth. If your doctor OKs it you might try some Anbusol, the teeth numbing stuff, if it is ok to use on a 5 month old (not sure of the age appropriateness) - I think a major source of the infective juveniles (the fibers are worms in their beginning stages) - a major source is the DIAPERS. I have had to throw out whole packages of diapers because they were so infested. I still use an occasional pull-up but my girls are mostly potty trained because of the problems with the diapers. Pull some threads up in the diapers you are using and see if the fibers move. If they do, they are infected. If you buy the cotton ones, you'll be looking at the same problem. I tried to buy some regular cotton diapers and they were infested too. When I say they were infested what I mean is when you hold them up to the light and pull some cotton fibers up for inspection, you will see them moving, undulating like a tiny cobra. These are worms. There is no doubt about it. I have seen them on my skin, penetrating into the hair follicle, moving and undulating as they try to insert themselves. Check your baby very carefully for these fibers. If you must use the diapers that are infested (because it's hard to find any others!) - put a barrier between your baby and the diaper. Spread some Desitin or non-petroleum jelly on all over where the diaper will be touching him. But before you do that, dust his body with the diatomaceous earth, food grade. You can buy it online. If you need a link I can supply that for you. You do not want to let him breathe it though. Maybe you could place a light washcloth briefly over his mouth and nose while you put it on him. This is, in my opinion, a very serious situation for everyone with Morgellons. There is a bacteria involved, photorhabdus luminescens, that is very toxic. This bacteria is necessary for the survival of the worm. I feel that killing this bacteria (which will require an extended course of the antibiotic) will eventually kill the worms. However, there will always be the risk of re-infection. You will have to consult with a doctor (Dr. Amin, I assume, is the one you'll be seeing) - and see if he would recommend an antibiotic for yourself and your baby. There is a fungus involved too for which antifungals will be necessary. My baby girl used to have a fungal diaper rash for which I got a anti-fungal cream. Maybe that would be good for your baby too, but you need the doctor to give you a prescription. They love the scalp. If nothing else you could take a warm wash cloth soaked in salt water and put it on his head. The nematodes and the fungus don't like salt. You might put some salt in his bath water. Or baking soda. For yourself too. I also use the hair dryer on low for the girls. I blow that warm dry air at them (get the quietest one, if you can afford it) - they love it and it helps with the itching. Dryness is good. The nematodes love moisture. They don't like menthol. You can use menthol but I doubt you could put that on the baby. It may act as a repellent if you put a little on his clothes. Watch his clothes and blanket for fibers that move. Using blankets that are made of nylon or other synthetics has helped my girls. I put DE in the dryer and it cuts some of the fibers up and disables them. I find that I have the lesions - mostly they have the fibers in their hair and scalp. I wish you well. There is hope for this, even at time there seems to be none. There are lots of confusing ideas out there about this condition, but I really do believe I'm right that it's a nematode, fungus and bacteria. If it was my baby I would try to get a prescription for Amoxicillin. You can't use Doxycycline on children, but for yourself you could try that. See what the Dr. has to offer you, but if you need to PM me, please feel free. sar

Sar, Did I ever post about desinex? I was researching fungal remedies and came across an awesome site that gave the medical as well as homeopathic names of remedies for fungus. One of the ingredients I looked up turned out to be desinex. I wonder if the doctors even know that desinex is actually an anti-fungal??? Kritts
