Default Hello from Oregon...new member.

Hi,
I've had trouble trying to work with this site, so here goes and I hope this works. I'll keep it brief to test this thread.
I've had morgellons for 6yrs. now. I'm much better than I was. I'm still getting blue fibers but alot less crawling and no more sores. I came close to "checking out" but now I'm okay. Life is really hard but I'm coping.

Hi and welcome to M-D-R Healingheart. I am glad some of your symptoms have improved. I am glad you have no lesions now. I am also glad you found us.

I used to have blue fibers. I do not have then now. I have improved alot due to Vanderbuilt protocol. I also did alot of treatment baths, used certain things to clean my enviroment like lemon ammonia, vinegar, baking soda and alot of vacumming etc.

There is alot of information and friendly people on this site who shall be helpful. There are many ways to improve including natural options. I may turn to those myself soon I am not sure on that one I shall know more next month.

In the last six years what has been helpful in your opinion if I may ask?

Unhappy Thanks for the Welcome!

Thanks LC and Carla for the welcome. I was on a morg.'s message board when I first got this, but that one closed down due to I think too much negativity and people trying to sell products.
What has helped me the most is the safe2use peppermint enzyme. I spray it all over the place, wash with it and mop my floors with it. If they could make an internal product, we'd all be healed! I have also completely cleaned up my diet. I eat mostly organically, no sugar and for carbs, I eat small amounts of brown rice and steelcut oats. I eat a HUGE salad for lunch every day which has very high quality poultry or fish in it. I've tried many different things, and some of them help a little, but nothing wipes it out. What is the Vanderbuilt protocol? Is the Mel's protocol any good? The one with the Bactrim etc. I've tried MMS and it seems to work a little but nothing to write home about.
My big problem now is my cat. He's got it badly and has just bitten a deep sore into his rump. I bought ivermectin for him but it doesn't seem to help much. Is there another enzyme that works well as safe2use has stopped making gallons and I can't afford them anymore. LC you said that you use vinegar/baking soda to clean? What do you wash your body with?
I would be ecstatic if I could get rid of the blue fibers, it's like cleaning out a dryer screen all over the house! Has anyone mentioned a good high capacity air cleaner?
Yes, I have come to terms with the fact that my life will never be the same. I think it's the ability to find a loving companion that I miss the most!
I'm going through my forties now and my life is slowly slipping away. I dread growing old alone! ~H.H.

Hi healingheart, I am so sorry you are having to go through this alone. It is hard enough when you have someone with you. Everyone here on this site is very nice and helpful, come here for moral support. Someone will answer your questions as best they can. They have all helped me a LOT. DD

Welcome...my heart breaks with each new person who comes here....I'm so sorry and can relate.
I think your best bet for an air cleaner is to get a 20 inch square box fan, and tape the same sized filter on it. Get the BEST filter you can find at Home Depot or Lowes. When you need to change it, put the whole thing in a plastic bag and go outside and remove it while still in the bag.
I'd also get an ionizer and run that at the same time, right in front of where the cleaned air comes through.

Thanks for the tips and the support! It's nice to come home and talk to someone about this. I have a few friends that know and my family knows but they can't come close to being able to relate to the immensity of what I've been going through.
Does anyone know what to do about books? Morgies seem to love books and breed on them. I've gotten ride of so many precious books and I've got some left that would absolutely break my heart to part with (out of print or childhood books). I tried the microwave but it melts the glue that binds them. I've tried the freezer, but that doesn't seem to work either. Any ideas? Thanks! H.H.

I have an idea. I don't know yet but it seems diatomacious earth may do the trick. You need to put your books in an alkaline environment. If nothing else, but them in plastic bags and sprinkle baking soda all ove them.
