Hi all! I finally found a doctor yesterday who said that the black specks on my skin are related to Morgellons, instead of "dry skin". It's good to be able to stop wondering, but the reality is really sinking in today! Does anyone have any low-key suggestions on how to get started? Some posts I read before registering took me straight to "overload". My biggest concern is my 18-year old son and his friends who are always stopping in, and giving me big hugs (which I love!) I want to protect them all from this, but energy level is not at it best. My doctor started me on vitamins and ordered lots of blood tests. Other than that, what do you think are the most important (simple)things to do first for the environment at home? Thanks for your help! So glad I'm not "out there" alone!

Hi and Welcome time2heal, Most of us have the same concerns as you. A good vacumn cleaner with decent filters is your best weapon. And Bug arrest or white vinegar in a spray bottle. No one knows for sure if we are infecting the people around us.

Carla I have been running the vacume over my face almost the whole day, do you have to use special bristles for men with beards, the black specks are still there but now my face is all red. LOL, actually I was thinking maybe a very strong vacume with the hose attacment may be able to take some of this black specks out. I do not have the black specks or I would try it. Maybe a big hypodermic used in cooking would be able to suck out all the malady out. I do know you were talking about the house Carla, but I saw a picture of the black specks and they seemed to be localized so maybe if they are gotten out they will not spread. There is a Chinese operation where they use a glass that creates vacume on the skin, its called cupping. Traditional Chinese Detox Treatment

time2heal - I am flabbergasted that a doctor recognized the black specks and told you that it is Morgellons. That is a very encouraging sign that the medical world is getting informed, believing, and diagnosing. Telling you to take vitamins is a great start, too. Please - if you aren't comfortable giving his name, at least tell us what city he practices in. It is helpful to know what areas of the country/the world are getting the information. Can it be that we are actually getting somewhere???? SS

I used the Morgellons org website to find a doc who specializes in Lyme in my area. Click on "contact us" tab and there's a link to doctor referral at the top. Starting with mega B vitamins and Fish oil to get a boost while awaiting lab results. Wanting a stronger direction now, but they're testing pretty thoroughly. Onward. . .

Hi Time2heal, lucky you! are you in the U.K.& what area? we are usually considered nuts by our G.P.s I've given up talking about it, was shown the door last time. good for you.. ![]() ![]()

Hi all! Carla (or anyone!), can you be more specific about "white vinegar" in a spray bottle"? Do I dilute it? How/where do I use it? Am so. . . at the very beginning of this! Have read on this site about the salt/peroxide soaks. Can anyone be more specific on the amounts of each that you typically use? I'm one of those that always uses a recipe and measures teaspoons. . . Thanks ![]() Also, I have lived in the UK, as well as four other countries, but now am in the NE part of the US. Sure wondering where I picked this up, or if its a combination of factors. I have only been aware of this disease for about a month, but seem to have most of the symptoms I've read about, and have folllowed most of the Morgellons links on the net. Can anyone fill me in on facts I should know or refer me to the best "starter info" sites? Right now, am really on overload; need to bring it down to a level I can start to deal with. Thanks a million, friends ![]()
