Hi everyone, I think I have introducted myself b4, but not too good with computor so not sure!? I am interested in trying to find anyone from Australia, particularly South Aust. I am writing on behalf of my sister who has morgellons and has suffered for about 15mths. She has been complaining of this strange outbreak of sores which are extrememly painful. She called me the other day desperate because her girls now seem to have something "unusual" on them. She always said that she got strange things like cotton out of her sores and that was my link to u guys. My sister has no links to a computor so asked me to research! Well many many hours later I find myself here! Very very scared too I might add cos her son is coming to stay in our house tomorrow from South Australia. (I live in the West) I am due to go to Adelaide to my sister and her girls in a few weeks time too. I am terrified!!! I so desperately want to help them, and be supportive and kind to my sister and her children but im really really afraid of infecting myself and my family. Anyone with any clues??? How can i minimise my own risk. I thought that maybe I would not stay with them but still see them all everyday. I have thought of some tough messures to take with my nephew (who is not displaying any symptoms). Using antibactirial wipes in toilet, shower etc. Giving him only his towel etc. What else can I do???

Hi Debbie, One of our members, Sydney is from Auz. I think she's away for a couple of weeks. I also know another lady from Auz, who's an experienced sufferer, so I'll pm you. Keeping laundry seperate is wise. Are the children really young? The best thing you could do for yourself is to make sure you dont have any open wounds undressed and use some insect repellent on your skin and back of scalp. If you can wear a hat or baseball cap or something, then all the better. Keep all foods in the fridge - even the fruit. Try doing as much outside things as possible - this should reduce anxiety. If your scalp starts feeling itchy, then massage vinegar into it and rinse out. All the best Jo xxx

Here is the only thing you need to do as far as I am concerned, you see many make this out to be all consuming and some of their cancerns may be true if THERE ARE ACTUAL PARASITES. I would not worry about this for one second if there are no parisites you can see moving, not maybe stuff, the real live movers and wigglers. I have this and I never saw anything move yet, but there are some strang sites that is for sure. Unless you plan on having sex or giving birth to her husbands children,do not worry! Most likely the children have it from birth not contact, unless they are of the age to have sex. Fluid exchange is the vector, I feel. I got it in ASIA from a woman in the business of making men content. Please don't worry no matter how much stuff you read here. I came to live with my family after my term of service and they had not gotten it at all, my mother is suspect though as she received a transfusion when she almost died in a car wreck, but still she looks fine, no skin problems. America has this strage idea that they need to BUY blood from drug addicts and street people, a very disgusting stupid idea. Please go and have fun, wash it from your mind and please do not further her pain and suffering by showing fear. You can show compassion and that will go a long way to help her, a long way. You may also examine yourself for any skin problems, I DO MEAN ANY. Skin tags, red dots, geographic tongue, white plaque on the tongue and last but a more telling effect BUMPS going down THE SHIN BONE these bumps will be evenly spaced. This is a systemic disease, and many that have it do not even know about it, some have very little involvement, some great. Why, maybe it is the time frame, possibly and likely genetic predisposition. Here is a thought, when plague struck the EARTH at any time it was 1,2,3 people that got it then 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 then half of all life on the planet, why did only half the humans die when the world was covered with dead bodies. They were in the water and fields, rats ate them and spread it even more, fleas and airbore contamination. Then why did not all die or why did it not stay going for ever. The plagues just STOPPED, the reason is most likely man does adapt quickly or had they a predisposed immunity,or both, what it was we do not know. PLEASE DO NOT ACT DIFFERENTLY TOWARDS YOUR SISTER, help her get to this site and I am sure between all the people here she will be put on a road to recovery, before she starts with all the wrong doctors, guidence is paramount to her well being. Have a nice vacation and do not burden your sister with even more problems she is faceing enough right now.

Hi Debbie, You are a wonderful sister and she is lucky to have you. It could be that Baraks right and we all have it anyway,(lots of us think that) but the suggestions Jo made are about all you can do. Your poor sister will probably be concerned about you catching it too so talk to her about it. I know I didn't want my children going to stay with anyone for fear of it being passed to others so she probably feels the same. carla
