Default New to the group, veteran to the apin

I'm sitting here sobbing so hard I can hardly breathe. As if it's not hard enough as is. I can't believe I finally found a name for this crap & people that get what I'm going through. I have had open sores for almost 4 years. Some are original. My arms & face are the hardest for me to deal with. My newest symptoms are swollen thyroid & lymph glands, heart pain, clogged sinus and signs that I know have problems in & around my eyes.

By the way, my name is Rae, I live in Colorado, am almost 48 & no other familiy member shows any signs of this. I have lived with Don for 4 years. My first symptom, I noticed, was one of my ear lobes swelled up like ball was inside it. At the same time, I had what looked like 2 spider bites on my upper arm & one on my cheek, the opposite side from the ear lobe. I had just got back from Mexico & thought I got bit by something

I've been to several Dr's, most have told me I'm nuts & gave me prozac. One however, told me to wash myself better.

I just self started my self on 2 antibiotics. But I'm very scared with the heart pain, swollen glades & breathing problems, that I'm fighting a losing battle. Am I?

Sorry for the downer note, y'all. Very overwhelmed right now.

Rae

Rae,

Welcome to the group! As I'm sure you're seeing, there is a ton of advice and treatments for our symptoms here. Everyone seems to have different reactions to treatments however, so don't get discouraged if something doesn't work for you, the next thing might. There is a huge loving support system in place here which has gotten me through my worst of days. Please use that support to get you through as well. We're glad to have you here and that you found us!

One thing I noticed from your post was that you said you've had the symptoms for about four years and that you've lived with Don for four years. Perhaps there is something going on in your home to make your symptoms worse? Mine flared up when I moved to the house I'm in now, but I still can't figure out what it is (ie mold, water, etc.). I took me two years to put two and two together with that one though. Just an observation.

Welcome!

No other enviromental changes, except Don's cute butt coming in to my life, I had owned the house for a couple of years before.

He shows no signs & either do my cats. I'm sure this is what I have because I have a nifty gadget called eye clops, 200x magnify things to your TV. My creepy things look just like other pics.

I also have Celiac

I have a couple of things I think might be helpful

Use diposable make up applicators, especially mascarra

Store combs & brushes in barbasol, like in beauty parlors

Treat furniture with flea & tick powder & cover with those heavy hypo allergenic sheets that prevent dust mites

use washable micro fiber clothes to wash skin. They pull impurites. Then wash with bleach

Any good?

Welcome Rayinco!

Great idea about the barbasol. I never heard of it. (always wondered what that solution was ;-)

Hey - there you go Rae, you're getting into the swing already!

Lovin the first two tips and and microfibre cloth one - great.

You and Kritts can talk about the joy of bleach, as she's experimenting with it on her arms.

Couple of thoughts for ya to consider.....

Carla might be able to point you to a doctor near by that could treat you...Carls?

Just wondering if you've been tested for Lyme disease?...thinking about your heart pain.

Also, maybe add some milk thistle to your regime, to help protect your liver, whilst on those ABs

Rae,
By the way, love how you said "his cute little butt".

Jo, I sprayed my arm with 50/50 bleach/water from the bottle I use in the kitchen and bath out of desperation one day, they were biting so badly. It did work. Either that or the roundup weed killer I used afterward and lit a match. Only kidding. I know I'm a sicko.

Jo, tell me about milk thistle!

KRITTSSSSS!!!!! - I nearly jumped out of my chair then. Roundup is a killer. You naughty ;o)

Milk thistle ...er and (NAC) N-Acetal-Cystine (sp?) are often prescribed by docs, when people are taking ABs.

I was, Jason was, Rocks, Niecy??

So, its a good idea. I know milk thistle is on 2 morgellon protocols.

okay, dummy here.... what's AB besides as far as I ever learned the alphabet?

You know, Jo...in fact...not kidding, I think the roundup I sprayed (reluctantly on my forest of weeds...had no choice) and got on my skin has something to do with how this took hold.
