Jo...great job investigating the fly and presenting all you are finding. Thanks so much With the webs and web strands and designs we find....it is like splitting a hair to see who the artist is. This fly makes a shell? Have you found a photo of the shell? Or...is the casing called the "shell"? YES! I attack the lesion with Acid to open, then Alkaline soda to fizz it. The Acid softens the covering....the Akaline fizzes the interior structure. Mr. Bean finally gives in and lets go...but, if i can ....i pull the bean out with tweezers for a prize(rather than fizz it)... and look inside it for anatomy. I have stared at the anatomy in all its contractions and releases of growth....and must still wait patiently for my mind to do some expanding until i can understand. I have not found any that can fly away....yet. Keep up the great work, we will get this critter cornered, backed up to a brick wall and then.......SQUISH! Yeah!

yeee haa...take that you buggin bugsThanks as ever Nancy. Yes, that production said that fly larvae make lots of chitous shells. I think its like armour and I think it gets thicker, the older they get...harder to kill. It also said "The shape of fly larva shells is very suitable for sorption. They are of oblong hollow-balls with very thin walls (5-10microns), having a large surface per weight" Not sure I 'get' that right now. http://images.katalogas.lt/maleidykla/che33/C-121.pdf Jo xxx |

Hello, Seems like everyday is getting weirder and weirder. Maybe its the moon??? I was going to bed and felt itchy, so thought...quick hair wash, using shampoo, citronella and white vinegar. Felt good and then a black midge dropped out of my hair. So here it is, on its back with its wings tucked behind it: Morgellons-Disease-Research - Kermit's Album: Black midge - Picture It has a red tube running from the back of its head, to its abdomin: Morgellons-Disease-Research - Kermit's Album: Black midge - Picture Morgellons-Disease-Research - Kermit's Album: Black midge - Picture Pretty sure its Cecidomyiidae because of its long legs and long segmented antennae. The mystery continues..... Jo xxx

Are you frickin' kidding me Jo!? I would've crapped myself if I saw that come from my head. I would've freaked just seeing it fly towards me and land on my head. You are a brave woman. I'm not sure I would've been able to deal with that, much less looked at it under a scope. Kritts - can't wait to hear the song! I may have a verse to add to it!

Hey Megala, I so totally agree with you. I don't know how she keeps it together. Or Chester aka Nancy or anyone with the feckin insects coming out of their skin right in front of their eyes!!! Let alone me seeing these fibers under the scope actually directing traffic. Amazing. But seriously, mine are fibers and hyphae.... theirs are actual bugs. I ..................... would...................freaking.................l oooooose it. xo Kritts

Well Kritts, I guess after a while I get Blasé about them....abit like seeing blood, going to the dentist, getting parking fines.....after awhile it just becomes apart of life. The only bit I'm struggling with is telling family and friends. I'm clueless about this. Of the people I've told, no one has ever asked me if they can see my photos. That tells me alot. I'm living a double life and it might break me in two if I cant move this issue on. .......back to work...rant over Jo xxx

I've scoped a tiny scab I had in front of my right ear. I'm starting to understand the anatomy a little, in particular, the head protrusions, which are likely to be the start of antennae (seen in gall midge larvae). So here's my observations, showing what I believe are four midge larvae, within the scab: ![]()

I havent looked at these pics, or most pics of bugs cause Im scared. I did finally look and it made me cry. But like Ive been saying I have to walk through my darn fears, sit with it, absorb that Im still going to be ok. Yesterday my daughter and I were sitting outside for a bit. As we went back into house my Lizzy says mom, theres a fly on your arm and its not moving. She tried to woosh it away and it kept coming back. I just said, yeah, he's eating bacteria or something, like nothing mattered. Maybe if I stop overreacting like they say I do and act like its just peachy maybe the kids will wake up. I can win this war alone. Good job Jo. Right here for all the world to see. Hope they are listening.
