I think that if you can buy food grown close to your home it is the best way.

My daughter's 6th grade teacher has a berry farm (& tomatoes, squash etc...) He couldn't claim his farm was "organic" because the wood posts surrounding his farm had an inorganic material in the wood. But he doesn't use any Monsanto crap & is an organic farmer.

I live in the high desert, not many choices here. Farmer's Market will pick up in a few weeks! I went last week & all they had was bedding flowers & radishes, & apple cider from last year (yummy). We had snow here 2 weeks ago... late growing season.

Organic Milk is at the top of my list at our local grocery store. Fruits/vegies that you eat the skin too. Free range chicken, eggs.

In the white light,
~jonsi

Default garden,snow , farms

yes, if you can find farms nearby they might not chase the organic label/certification but can often have fresh tasty healthy stuff. there's one near us. Seems in the west this year friends tell me the colder weather is lasting longer - we still have selfsowing lettuce going and normally by april it's way too hot for lettuce - they just start up - a mother nature gift. my friends in no-calif haven't even started their annuals yet, waiting for snow to clear.

There aren't any mom and pop stores here now except in Latino neighborhoods! And there are convenience stores on every street corner.
Just what we need. We've already got WalMart super stores and WalMart neighborhood grocery stores.

I wonder when they're going to start their own religious denomination?
Their symbol could be that yellow smilie face of theirs.

I can't get to the store that has a lot of organics. At least it's fresh. New Mexico had health sense even when I lived there 22 years ago

Default GMO food and Walmart

Here's a link about Monsanto, and its GMO crops (specifically corn here) and WalMart.
