Default Doctor's fed up with insurance co's too..

Hello all,

Well, I was a little taken aback when I found out to what extent that physicians are
fed up with the current healthcare industry as it relates to insurance companies and their unfair business practices.

The President of The American Medical Association is on board with health care reform. He supports HR3200 and here is video of him eliciting support from the public and his colleages to help implement changes.

Default Obamacare not the choice of most US physicians

Doctors group challenges AMA Obamacare endorsement

July 22, 7:33 AM · Martha R Gore

A group of 100,000 U. S. physicians, members of Sermo, say that the American Medical Association (AMA) endorsement of government-run healthcare does not reflect the views of practicing physicians. Sermo doctors belong to an online community which is used to collaborate on difficult cases, share clinical observations and work together to achieve better patient outcomes than each could do individually

Dr. Daniel Palestrant, Sermo CE) says that
Physicians are the only true advocates for their patients and this bill fails to meet what physicians need to improve the quality care they deliver....By endorsing a bill that does not adequately address concerns of physicians in this country, AMA shows again that it is out of touch with physicians and is conflicted by its own business model.
We engage both Democrats and Republican lawmakers to engage with real physicians who actually practice medicine to get real-time feedback on how to reform healthcare.

Palestrant also called for the AMA to end practices that take advantage of physicians and their patients to generate millions of dollars in revenue. He continued
Physicians have voted with their feet with AMA membership now estimated at only 15-20% of U.S. physicians.

Sermo recently conducted a survey that spanned 68 specialists in all 50 states whose average age was 49 years of age. These doctors had a median of 13 years experience in practice who work in practices of all sizes in all major urban and remote rural areas across the United States.

Of the 4,165 doctors that participated
  • 75% were not members of AMA
  • 89% agreed with the claim that AMA does not speak for them
  • 91% said that AMA does not accurately reflect their opinions as physician.

Default I want to make my choices when I reach 75 +

Part of the so called "savings" in healthcare is denying it to elderly people who (wishfully thinking I would suppose) won't be living much longer anyway, so why let them have bypasses and other procedures to extend their lives.

There is a man who recently died at the ripe old age of 114. He creditted his age to cigarettes, whiskey, and women.

Suppose he had some sort of needed procedure in his 70s. He would have been denied it in the present age if this all goes through. Even if you can afford it yourself the Drs. are not supposed to do it for elderly people.

I dn't know about anyone else but I have always treated my elders with the utmost respect, not wish they'd kick the bucket.

They willed be denied coverage.

Default Obamacare and the ushering out of life

Here's an article which backs up Posey's post. And don't think this will just involve end of life issues as far as whether care will be given. If you are unfortunate enough to break a hip after you are 65, you just may be flat outta luck. The progressives have a long history of supporting eugenics:

Obamacare will gut Medicare

The impact on the elderly will, for some, be deadly.

Obama's health care proposal is, in effect, the repeal of the Medicare program as we know it. The elderly will go from being the group with the most access to free medical care to the one with the least access.

Indeed, the principal impact of the Obama health care program will be to reduce sharply the medical services the elderly can use. No longer will their every medical need be met, their every medication prescribed, their every need to improve their quality of life answered.

It is ironic that the elderly – who were so vigilant when President Bush proposed to change Social Security – are so relaxed about the Obama health care proposals. Bush's Social Security plan, which did not cut their benefits at all, aroused the strongest opposition among the elderly. But Obama's plan, which will totally gut Medicare and replace it with government-managed care and rationing, has elicited little more than a yawn from most senior citizens.

It's time for the elderly to wake up before it is too late!

The elderly of Canada are feeling the consequences from just this kind of program. Limited colonoscopies have led to a 25 percent higher rate of colon cancer, and a ban on the use of the two best chemotherapies are part of the reason why 42 percent of Canadians with colon cancer die, while 31 percent of Americans, who have access to these two medications, survive the disease.

Overall, the death rate from cancer in Canada is 16 percent higher than in the United States and the heart disease mortality rate is 6 percent above ours.

Under Obama's program, there will be a government health insurance company that gets huge subsidies of tax money. It will compete with private insurance plans. But the subsidies will let it undercut the private plans and drive them out of business, leaving only the government plan – a single payer – in effect.

Today, 800,000 doctors struggle to treat adequately the 250 million Americans who have insurance. Obama will add 50 million more to their caseload with no expansion in the number of doctors or nurses. Indeed, his plan will likely reduce their number by lowering reimbursement rates and imposing bureaucrats above them who will force medical decisions down their throats. Fewer doctors will have to treat more patients. The inevitable result will be rationing.

And it is the elderly whom rationing will most effect. Who should get a knee replacement, a 40-year-old or a 70-year-old? Who should get a new hip, a young person or an old person? Who should have priority in the operating room, a 70-year-old diabetic who needs bypass surgery or a younger person?

Obviously, it is the elderly who will get short shrift under his proposal. But the interest groups that usually speak up for the elderly, particularly the AARP, are in Obama's pocket, hoping to profit from his program by becoming one of its vendors. Just as they backed Bush's prescription drug plan because they anticipated profiting from it, so they are now helping Obama gut the medical care of their constituents.

It is high time that the elderly of America realized what the stakes are in this vital fight to preserve Medicare as we know it and keep medical care open, accessible and free to those over 65. It is truly a battle for their very lives.

Obamacare will gut Medicare | elderly, obama, care, medical, percent - Opinion - OCRegister.com

To make what is being planned by Obama even clearer here is a quote from page 425 of the Obamacare Plan." This is absolutely chilling. How ironic--it should be the "Obamadon't care and let me show you the door" plan. Oh and yeah, don't let the door knob hit you on the way out (that's the compassion part):

"On page 425, the Congress would make it mandatory, absolutely required that every five years, people in Medicare have a required counseling session that will tell them how to end their life sooner: how to decline nutrition, how to decline hydration, how to go into hospice care...and by the way, the bill expressly says that if you get sick, somewhere in that five year period, if you get a cancer diagnosis, for example, you have to go through that session, again....all to do what's in societies best interest, or your family's best interest and cut your life short...these are such sacred issues of life and death - government should have nothing to do with it".

Thanks for the support tcmgpt13.

The world we live in today is a real scary place. I can't imagine what the future holds for generations to come. I wish people would begin to speak out, although Obama's ratings keep falling.

This is a real serious situation. It seems just yesterday I'd read about "paranoid people" worrying about "Big Brother" watching. If ALL the people got with it, Big Brother would be the one who'd be worrying about being watched; by The people.

I'm beginning to wonder where I live. Is this still the U.S.? Not speaking about family and friends; who really cares? NO ONE. Absolutely no one.

I htink U.S. is in for a real adverse surprise in the future. Maybe the ego of the Nation has gotten blown out of proportion.

Sometimes it seems as if "a bigger than God" attitude comes into play. How many places have we taken God out of in the U.S. This is not at all what our founding Fathers had in mind. It's seems hipocritical and meaningless when "they" speak of our founding Fathers.

Someone or something is going to hell in a hand basket.

Yes, I agree Posey, with so many scary people in power in the US, the world is a scary place indeed. One where we need to be aware and learn about the true motivations behind so much of what is going on today. And I agree, no one seems to care, not in the current government. And I do not buy that any president would do the same as this one is. This group in D.C. is very scary, terrifyingly so. They claim they care for people, but the only people they seem to care about is themselves and getting their way:

John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar, says: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet

"John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar, says: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet

Book he authored in 1977 advocates for extreme totalitarian measures to control the population

Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.

The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?

These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;
The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food;
Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;
People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.
A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.

Impossible, you say? That must be an exaggeration or a hoax. No one in their right mind would say such things.

Well, I hate to break the news to you, but it is no hoax, no exaggeration. John Holdren really did say those things, and this report contains the proof. Below you will find photographs, scans, and transcriptions of pages in the book Ecoscience, co-authored in 1977 by John Holdren and his close colleagues Paul Ehrlich and Anne Ehrlich. The scans and photos are provided to supply conclusive evidence that the words attributed to Holdren are unaltered and accurately transcribed."

This next section is from Holden’s book and is found on the above link. Sorry to scare you all, but you need to see what Obama is doing with some of his appointments. I cannot copy all of this discussion here, but to see what this book contains I strongly suggest you look at the link above--this is very frightening and you need to know what you are up against now. This discussion looks pretty convincing to me especially as some pages of the book Ecoscience are reproduced on the site:

"Page 917: We will need to surrender national sovereignty to an armed international police force

If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force. Many people have recognized this as a goal, but the way to reach it remains obscure in a world where factionalism seems, if anything, to be increasing. The first step necessarily involves partial surrender of sovereignty to an international organization.

The other shoe drops. So: We are expected to voluntarily surrender national sovereignty to an international organization (the "Planetary Regime," presumably), which will be armed and have the ability to act as a police force. And we saw in the previous quote exactly which rules this armed international police force will be enforcing: compulsory birth control, and all economic activity.

It would be laughable if Holdren weren't so deadly serious. Do you want this man to be in charge of science and technology in the United States? Because he already is in charge."

A rather limp disavowal of these rather radical views were made at his senate hearing and this is discussed in this link, but this Holdren really has not said he does not believe in what was in this book. Even if he has changed his views slightly since he co-authored the book he sounds like someone to be watched. A man is known by the company he keeps and so far the company the president keeps is pretty scary, both past and present.

Hey Posey and TCM!
it's such a shame some of these elderly citizens have nobody to care for them.i know i help an elderly gent out.but its hard he killed the nerves in his leg by caring for his wife of 50yrs she died of brain cancer and he had made her a promise he would not let them put her in a nursing home so he is diabetic and ignored the burning pain in his legs for over a year til his wife passed away at home now the drs say its beyond repair.he recently called for services with our local bus company for the disability bus which was offered in our city for disabled persons to be able to make it to their dr appts.they informed him they no longer offer these services.it was cut!.so what does O'bama expect these people to just rot away and be forgotton! i say we go bact to the olden days drag him downtown and let all the citizens flog him!!!
