| Hey Folks, I was actually looking at a patient informational site for Aspergillus fumigatus when I happened across this site to help people in the U.S. to get discounted or free prescription coverage. I apologize, I initially had the wrong link posted. Here is the correct one. https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that’s right for them. Many will get them free or nearly free. Its mission is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. Through this site, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance offers a single point of access to more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 180 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies. To access the Partnership for Prescription Assistance by phone, you can call toll-free, 1-888-4PPA-NOW (1-888-477-2669). More about this program In order to find out what patient assistance programs you may qualify for, all you have to do is answer a few short eligibility questions. This site will help supply you with the information you need to get involved in a program and even allow you to download applications online. You can then follow the instructions on the application to apply. _________________________________________________ Aspergillus for patients Morgan Last edited by Morgan; December 15th, 2008 at 09:29 AM. |

| Destination RX is a free prescription card for anyone who does not have coverage. It also can reduce the cost of prescriptions for pets. It is not insurance, but, discounts the normal costs. I have Medicare, but, I use this for my dogs prescriptions (she takes human medicine). The web site also has information on the top prescription plans. Hope this helps someone. | Instead of biting my tongue, I have bitten my fingers, trying to be nice and not responding to the posts on pharmaceuticals. !! ?? ![]() Really now, how many of you have had long term positive affects of drugs prescribed by MDs???? I have found homeopathic medicine and organic food to be much more affective in fighting "morgellons". Dove & Morgan, I don't mean to disrespect you. Franky has posted a lot on prescription assistance too. For those that find prescribed medicine helps, this is good info. But for me, pharmaceuticals made me sicker in the long run. I won't touch them again. In the white light, ~jonsi

| Thanks Morgan and Dove for posting this information here about obtaining prescription drugs at better prices. I am sure it will be quite helpful to those who are using prescription medications. That's what makes this forum so supportive. I hope anyone else who has any other suggestions to obtain medications either free or at low cost will post that information here.

| A site Franky posted about obtaining prescriptions drugs at lower cost. A wonderful source with a lot of information about many different programs which help those in need or those who are uninsured. I am adding the link to the site he talks about just below the link to his post (think he forgot to add a direct link to the site in the body of his post): NeedyMeds.com NeedyMeds Medicare qualification information in this link from Franky may be slightly outdated as the amounts quoted for low income usually change from year to year. This post is a good place to start to learn about medicare prescription drug coverage paid if income is at the poverty level: Medicare Prescription Drug coverage

| For Jonsi: I too refuse to bite any part of myself, especially, if it causes pleasure to others. I am not pushing prescriptions, nor suggesting it, but, merely relaying some info which would be beneficial if one were using pharmaceuticals and did not have prescription coverage. Perhaps, Morgellons is taking its toll. (Should I say naturally, St. John's Wort, Hops, or Senna?). I use mostly homeopathic medications which, by the way, are not covered by Medicare. |

| We live in an unnatural world and our healing methods, I think, have declined over the centuries. Perhaps by design, but, nonetheless, we do not remember how to heal the way Jesus did or the disciples who followed him did. Through a maze of contradictions, knowledge or lack of knowledge, supposed to be, the way it used to be (good and bad) and better days can be classified as future or just wishful thinking, a past life of luxury, whatever, whichever, one must decide for oneself which road to take. No one else should dictate that. If you have outlawed something in your life that does not mean it is not useful to someone else. Pharmaceuticals can be both beneficial and harmful, but, so can herbs when taken at high doses or the wrong herbs are used as a treatment. So many people forget that herbs go beyond the culinary field and are medicines. Sometimes people forget when growing their own that the soil can be contaminated and cause good nutrition to become a poison. There is no perfect scenario, nor solution, but, we do have choices. The bottom line is when the pain gets bad enough or relief is sought for an illness, it does not matter if it is a pharmaceutical or homeopathic. Acetaminophen is a no-brainer, for me, for now, even though I may have it with herbal tea. We also must rely on doctors to diagnose. Although at times, I confess my guilt for self-diagnosis on occasion(s). However, what I do for me is not what I do for a loved one or pet, and so, I get a doctors opinion. It is a habit. I do not know another way to handle it. It is ironic that I, who hardly ever got sick, now have to deal with this crap. Did God have a hedge around me like he did Job? I don’t know. Recently, when my dog got sick, the vet prescribed as part of her treatment 1000 mg of Amoxicillin every 8 hours for two weeks. I normally do not take antibiotics and the vet is aware that I use herbs and homeopathic remedies. I was aghast, but, I made sure she took her medicine. She also now gets injected with insulin twice a day. She went from herbal dog to pharmaceutical hound very, very fast. Long story short, I am thankful for the medicine and the discount that I get which makes it less of a burden. |

| Jonis, all I can say if you have been doing great with homeopathic medicine and natural foods then God bless you and keep at it. I to very much believe in natural foods, vitamins, minerals, and herbs, I have all my life. However, at the same time I also know there is a need for pharmaceuticals, not all pharmaceuticals are detrimental to us. If it was not for pharmaceuticals, people would be dying every day by the millions. I think the real problem is the overuse, over abuse and the overdosing of pharmaceuticals by people. Anyway, I respect your opinion and am glad the natural way is helping you. ![]() |

| Thanks Franky, My dad is a retired dentist and I was married to an Orthopaedic surgeon. I really do respect modern medicine and the use of pharmaceuticals (anti-biotics after surgery, etc. My daughter had pneumonia at age 3 and was in the hospital ICU for four days and I know that the drugs saved her life, I am thankful we had medical insurance back then). Ladycolorado explained to me that pharmaceuticals have saved the lives of many "M" sufferers. Dove, I never was sick before this either! I wouldn't hesitate to give my cat's any meds a vet would prescribe either. I hope your dog is ok. Dove wrote: "Pharmaceuticals can be both beneficial and harmful, but, so can herbs when taken at high doses or the wrong herbs are used as a treatment. So many people forget that herbs go beyond the culinary field and are medicines." I don't buy anything off the shelf. The homeopathic medicines my daughter & I take come directly from our doctor. Itwl, ~jonsi
