Default Bamboo rayon towels

I just bought washcloths made from 100% bamboo rayon. Didn't know they could make rayon from bamboo, but apparently so. They are wonderfully soft, much softer than cotten. I've been washcloth-less in the shower since I started having trouble with cotton. Has anyone here who also can't use cotton used the bamboo? Any problems with it? How does it hold up to bleach? I haven't used or washed these yet. Am still a little reluctant to use anything with a loop nap in the shower for fear it may trap critters and just put them right back on me.

Will do, Sammy, if I work up the nerve to use them! I got these at Tuesday Morning, if you have them in your area. They're a discounter that sells high-end overstocks on the cheap (better quality than Marshall's or TJ Maxx and it's original brands, not stuff that was made for them.) They were $7.99 for a pack of $4.; quite a bargain if they work. The gal said they normally have towels, too, but were out.

Default I have a course bamboo towel for the shower

I have a friend in Tiawan and she brings me these towels from her familys company, they make everything bamboo, flooring, materials, furniture and all other kind of things, they are very durable.

You know for people so afraid of normal materials there is also hemp cloths and toiletries and these are very soft also.

The wash cloths she has over are course and defoliate the skin.

Baraka, we're not afraid of "normal" materials unless we've been stung, bitten, etc. repeatedly by something that's inhabiting them. I don't think any of us who gave up cotton did so after one sting. We don't all have the same critters. I miss my cotton; that's pretty much all I wore. Polyester sucks.

I'd love to get hold of some coarse bamboo washcloths for exfoliation. I'm going to keep checking Tuesday Morning. But if you'd like to send me a small supply I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands...

On the other hand, is anything from China safe? Why couldn't these things piggyback on bamboo fiber as easily as anything else??

Sammy, this Tuesday Morning had these washcloths in the kitchen stuff, not the bath.

Default I am not a material a material a material BOY

I am not a material a material a material BOY, nope.

I was just commenting on availability of different types of material, bamboo and hemp, the hemp can be smoked in a jam.

I will never wear poliester, silk or any other of that kind of mess, I do not care if water beatles crawl up my nose.

Sojii I made a simple post here, look what you went and turned it into, you hurt my feelings, now I want to hide my face and and and material my material my material world.

sojii, when I first got "M" I used paper towels to dry off with. I think you are making a right choice here!

Hemp & bamboo clothes are really expensive. Baraka, can you hook me up?

I think it is a really bad stage of "M" when our clothes, sheets & everything else "bites" us. Most of my clothes were cotton & made "In China". It is a stage of "M" when we get the biting sensations. Where can we find anything "Made In America" (or UK, Germany, London haha, btw, what do they make in London to Export? ooops, off track here)

Look up nano tech micro fibers and see whats out there. There is too much for me to post a specific link! I do believe that nano-tech has something to do with with "M". Also, remember what they spray on massed produced crops like cotton (pesticides....)

itwl,
~jonsi
