THIS IS SO DISGUSTING I'M LIVID THIS MORNING. An article in USA Today regarding the recall of the ENTIRE 2008 crop of pistacios because of being tainted with salmonella poisoning claimed by the FDA 'officials' to have been caused by processing raw and roasted on the same production lines without cleaning in-between each.

WHAT BULLCOCKY!!! So they've been doing this for how many years but now all of a sudden it makes a difference? Peanuts, almonds, lettuce, spinach all in the same close time period have been attacked and then the decision was to radiate or pasturize.

So they say, "The FDA has fast tracked one possible solution." (no duhh). PROPYLENE OXIDE!!!! the same stuff they used to PASTURIZE almonds.

Uses
Between 60 and 70% of all propylene oxide is consumed making polyether polyols for use in making polyurethane plastics. [4] Propylene oxide is also used in the production of propylene glycol (using about 20% of propylene oxide), polypropylene glycol, propylene glycols ethers and propylene carbonate.

The United States Food & Drug Administration has approved its use to pasteurize raw almonds beginning on September 1, 2007 in response to several incidences of contamination by salmonella in commercial orchards.[5]

It was once used as a racing fuel, but that usage is now prohibited under the US NHRA rules for safety reasons. It is also used in thermobaric weapons, and microbial fumigation.

This is BEYOND CRIMINAL!!! They are making our food devoid of nutrients and they are taking away any means of supplying those nutrients through natural foods and vitamin supplements!!!!

SO IT'S OKAY FOR US TO EAT BUT NOT TO USE FOR RACINGFUEL!!!

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE???? ARE PEOPLE THAT IGNORANT AND UNCONCERNED???

Even if all the salmonella outbreaks are the result of the bio-engineering (eg. roundup ready pesticides) and not some "conspiracy "to dummy down or kill 80% of the population, the government is still guilty by ineffective monitoring and testing of what is allowed to be pushed through in patents by monsanto and the other companies involved.
