| I have no idea who you are, but have been reading you in the shout. Where was I when you came aboard? Anyway....HI! Tell your dentist he's full of s**t. You don't have to do it every day. A few days per week will do. I'd rather have my teeth turn yellow (which won't happen because the enamel is wearing off, by the way) than crack away and fall out because of the bacteria eating them inside out, coming from the tri-geminal fed neighborhood. If people are worried about that, then just put some baking soda and peroxide in purified water and swish it around through your teeth and around your mouth. Don't forget to let it hang around your tongue for a while. FYI, I just was telling a friend of mine about it and he said his father, who was a dentist, brushed his own teeth with baking soda and peroxide. He didn't say whether it was daily. Just a side snide.....I was telling my dentist about the new development in science where they can actually grow a new tooth from a root of another tooth from your mouth (probably from someone else's mouth too... (but gross, ewwww)) and not only did he not know of that, but also didn't know the teeth were directly connected to what's happening in the other parts of the body (in fact, he poo poohed the thought) nor did he think mercury fillings were a health problem. And this is a fairly young guy...early thirties. sheesh. Kritts |

| Well so much for reclaiming my innocence and starting a new ........CARLA!! Your such a bust. i think you guys misunderstood what I said or meant. My dentist told me that after 20 or more yers of using baking soda on your teeth everyday you can damage the enamal. When the enamel is damaged you can see the dentin whitch is yellow showing through. Heres a link and quotes to back it up Teeth Whitening "In addition, acidic foods such as citrus fruits and vinegar contribute to enamel erosion. As a result, the surface becomes more transparent and more of the yellow-colored dentin shows through." "Take one teaspoon of baking soda and some drops of hydrogen peroxide (no more than 3%). Mix these ingredients and form a paste. Brush your teeth with this paste. To prevent decay, you must brush your teeth again with a fluoride toothpaste . Repeat once a week or two. You’ll love the result! If the recipe works so well, why use it only once a week? Baking soda is abrasive and can damage your gum and can permanently damage the enamel of your teeth." So either just rinse out like kritts says or use less often would be safer Nice to see you too Kritts , Luv you too but I love my dentist even more and if you say hes full of sh%T one more time Im gonna beat the crap out of you! LOL HUGS, Tootsie

| Hi everyone! Im not crazy about tooth paste either, it gives me a belly ache. I use baking soda alone, didnt know you could mix a little Hydro. and Peroxide. Kritters talked about the new science of growing teeth, I knew these money hungry big cats, docs too, are keeping us in the dark about regeneration of body parts and stuff. Heck, theyd be out of business right? My teeth are weak, braking, wearing down, and infected at times, my whole family too. I mean, we have a smile but its just too much going on too fast. My kids have ALWAYS brushed after a meal, I made them cause I do it too. They always got the appropiate dental care also, theres no good reason why they at their young age have to deal with all these tooth infections. Using salt is ok to brush with too right? Gargling with salt and warm water is good too! Good to talk. Nice to meet all I havent met! Soon will I hope. Love Nat |

| he'sfullofs**t;he'sfullofs**t;he'sfullofs**t;he'sf ullofs**t lolololol xoxoxoxo Well, of course that's true, if you do it every day for twenty years!!! I don't reckon I have much more than that to live so I'll probably be losing my pearlies anyway ;-(....then my nightmare will come true. Actually, but then I may have my teeth implanted. Ugly ol' wrinkled face with new white teeth! What a sight that will be! yikes! Nat...yes, when I was a kid, my great aunt Kay told us about using salt. I'd use sea salt, not table salt. I'm sure it is also abraisive. I would only use the salt or baking soda when my teeth need whitening (like after drinking wine or tea) but would still pour some in my hand, suck up some water and swish through my mouth even if I just use a plain toothbrush with no crappy, sugary toothpaste, xoxo Kritts |
