I get updates sent to my e-mail from the natural solutions foundation. This is where I learned that the FDA was trying to get control of vitamins, herbs and minerals and make them illegal until they put their "stamp of approval", available by prescription only after they were determined to be safe.

The following is an excerpt from a recent update. I'm not going to post the web site because they do ask for donations. I have received "free" e-mails from these folks I have never donated to them. Do a search, the info is free!

Very informative and eye-opening information...this is just a little of what they have to say:

For Shame!

What's fascinating, of course, is that Natural Solutions for gaining and maintaining health, such as vitamins, minerals, herbs and so on do not work the same way that drugs do. They support enzyme function, not poison it. That's why their safety margin is so astonishingly good (no deaths, no dangers, virtually no side effects, no bodies for a coronor to examine!) and their dangers have to be trumped up, created and trumpeted by the drug companies to make misinformed people shy away from them.

That is, sadly, one of the reasons that what used to be respectable Medical Journals are such corrupt and poor information sources today. The scandals and exposes ab out this degredation because of the corrupting influence of corporate science (pulblished only because of huge corporate advertising budgets which keep the journals afloat) are legion, so are the best selling books and widely read articles documenting it. But the FDA continues on as if drugs and vaccines were safe and allowing them was somehow "protecting public health" and the corporate junk science is pushed out without shame.

So those of us who want to use natural methods of health care and therapy, which are the leading economic competitor to drugs and corporate-sponsored illness, have to be prepared to not only be informed and find practitioners who are informed, we have to be prepared to pay for lunch, too.

Just as we cannot expect to get away with poisoning ourselves and not paying for it, we cannot let the drug companies, inside and outside of government, pay for their lunches with their huge budgets, conflicts of interest and revolving door policies with the FDA and medical schools, journals, etc., and trust them to keep our first choices, natural medicine and clean food, safe. Their interest is in just the opposit outcome!

Both natural medicine and clean, unadulterated food cut away at the profits of the largest industry on earth, one that makes a profit every single time you or someone you live is sick, and the sicker and longer the better.

You know that the Natural Solutions Foundation is fighting hard to keep your supplements safe and your food safe, too! You know that we just got back from the Codex Commission in Geneva where we saw a new level of weakness and decay in the Codex process. That is a fantastic opportunity for us. With staff and researchers, meetings and information to the people in the developing world who are starving for our information (!), we CAN turn CODEX, the World Food Code, into something remarkably different from what it is now. The only way to have the extended impact which you and we know we need to have is to up our efforts substantially. And the only way to do that is to up our budget substantially. To that end, we are going to be looking for creative and useful ways to generate that income.



This might not the best article to introduce Natural Solutions Foundation to those who are unfamiliar... I want a place to post the important (I feel, IMHO)
info that I receive. They discuss GMOs and food too. Whatever the FDA and EPA are deeming safe for the human race... the ones who regulate and pass the laws allowing corporate (government) to govern what we eat and breathe.

I, for one, just want to eat natural foods and have access to homeopathic medicines without having to get a "prescription" from a doctor of Medicine (ie MD, accepting insurance that pays for prescriptions that big pharma would love to gain control of) for vitamins, herbs and minerals.

If Bill c-51 isn't stopped in Canada, it's effects will come rolling directly into the USA via the FDA'S harmonization effort via their trilateral Cooperation Charter with Canada and Mexico via which FDA intends to bypass the Dietary Supplyment Health Act author Julie VanGee.
I think she mite be right The bill in Canada is stopped for now.But the bill is going to committee in October and it mite at that time be come law.The Naturl Health Products Protection Association is tring to stop it.The Official Stop C-51 Website - Your Freedom And Health Are At Risk!

I think it would be a good idea for you to start a forum something like "ATTENTION CANADIANS" if Canadians are the only ones who can stop C-51. I went to your link & couldn't find anything that I can directly do, as an American. I'll go back again...

I have been writing letters to members of Parliament,talking to people in the city I live in about the bill.But as an American you can sign the petition go to the top left side of the webb site click on sign a petition many people from all over the world have signed it.People from New Zealand,UK,US,France,Spain and more.Click on the womans face Assistant Deputy Minster Menna Ballantyne and you will here some of what Health Canada and the FDA are planning.
I know I am not the only Canadian that reads or come to this site so having the link on there mite help other Canadians to see it as well.

Straight Talk About Money

You know it as well as I do: the main threat to our health and health freedom is that we are so very productive, financially speaking, when we are sick. Healthy, we work and go to school and pay taxes and get married and so forth. Health is, after all, our natural state of being but it does not generate much income for the illness industry.

Sick, we have the capacity to pour nearly limitless streams of wealth into the coffers of the vast industry that prospers only if we are ill. The huge hospitals, the ubiquitous drug stores, the nurses and doctors, the cancer and cardiovascular centers, the sleek and slick drug companies - where would they be if we were well? Nonexistent-- that's where they would be.

If illness were not so profitable, we would not have to fight so hard for our health. It would not be in anyone's best interests to have us sicker younger, longer. If our illness were not the most financially productive reality on Planet Earth, we would use herbs, nutrients, exercise, sunlight, mind/body techniques and other inexpensive, powerful and non toxic health strategies as a matter of course. There would be no battle for our minds and our bodies to degrade our immune systems and force us into lingering, tragic diseases which are so very profitable for the illness industry - and devastating for us.

I have said it before and I will say it again: the other side has more money than God. They will use it to make you sick and to make you believe that the only way to get well is to put your faith, your money and your health, in the hands of the agencies and industries that profit from your illness, not your wellness. These are the people who, like the FDA, are perfectly happy to jeopardize your health, indeed your very life, to keep their corporate masters happy by approving unsafe food and dangerous drugs while conducting a vigorous war on your well being and your right to use products, services and strategies which do not enhance illness, but support wellness.

International Decade of Nutrition Creates
the Valley of the Moon

You probably are already familiar with the International Decade of Nutrition or IDN (Natural Solutions Foundation - International Decade of Nutrition), a daring and innovative project of the Natural Solutions Foundation.

*First of all, remember that you have an immune system.

Back at the beginning of this article I told you that viruses (and bacteria, for that matter), do not make you sick if you are equipped with a healthy immune system and you are non toxic.

That means change your eating habits TODAY. The intake of refined sugar, pesticides, flouridated water and toothpastes, etc., artificial colors, flavors and preservatives and genetically modified foods (found in everything that does not explictly say "Certified Organic") all depress your immune system.

Buy "Organic", wild crafted, food that is locally grown by people you know (and don't assume that just because a field is nearby, the food is not sprayed or genetically modified or both). ASK!

So Step One is to alter your diet and make eating for life, not for the moment, your number one food priority. Please, take this seriously.
