Default Frivolous Question

Hope there's somebody on the boards to answer this now....
This is frivolous and may be a completely stupid question, but can a person with Morgellons wear clothing with fur? Seems to me the fur is dead, won't provide any sustenence for anything live and even if something transfers from me to the fur by jumping, crawling, hailing a small taxi, hopping dimensions or some other means of transport, it would do the same on my clothes anyway. I was in a resale shop this afternoon and found a wonderful leather coat for about 1/10 what it would cost new. In my size, no less, and that never happens. But it has a fur collar. They're holding it until 5, 2 hours from now. Can I have it? Please?

Default Animal Lover

Yes, I'm an animal lover, but usually they're alive. I wouldn't consign a live lobster to the pot, and having an animal put down is traumatic for me. But this one's dead. I checked.

Default Also...

Also, I'm not supporting a furrier. This is a volunteer resale shop that benefits a charity 100%.

what a contrast lol out of order

Soji personally i think fur is bad for morgies ,,,,,,,,,,second dead fur is a dead animal ........ I used to love it but changed my attitude some years ago it sickens me to death............who m i to tell, leather is dead animal as well and we have been wearing it using it etc for years....... we humans r sickos in many ways..............I never looked at it this way but something changed in me that I feel as in puking when seeing those leather bags, leather purses and similar fur etc..........it is like I do not see a bag I see a slaughtered animal...... animal in pain...... animal sold for money .......... I stopped eating meat as well cos I get the same feel ........ dunno why

I think real fur is a safer bet than the fake fur Soji.I hate the thought of animals being killed for their fur but as it is from a second hand shop your not adding to their suffering . Go treat yourself

Default Natural world isn't Walt Disney...

I mean I'm sure that the love an eagle has for the rabbit is pure... (but I guess eagles don't WEAR rabbits).
Regardless... second hand is not supporting the furriers and whatnot (stay clear of the PETA people with red paint). If you buy it remember that Kleengreen (Eco-vie, Bug-Arrest, etc) can be used on your pet's fur safely and I think would work wonders on your jacket too.

This doesnt seem like a conflict of your values so enjoy it Sojii!!!

Well what would you suggest Dzana ? Should they Burn the coat or make a few quid and keep Soji warm in the Bargain.
Anyway I ve nothing against a trapper using skins of animals he has caught to keep himself warm.
Its the whole 'rich *****' who wears fur to make herself look beautiful in a country that goes barely below 0% .Thats what I find Satanic .

Default Ok, give me a hard time, Dzana...

I can take it. I knew I might get blasted by somebody on the subject of fur. It's the leather I'm interested in; it's very warm and there are so many fabrics I can't wear now because of the skin problems. Anything that has a nap or noticeable texture is basically out. Even microfiber causes me to itch. Leather doesn't seem to bother me in upholstery or clothing. The fur's incidental. Pretty, but incidental.
