Default This basically sums it up...............

This basically sums it up. FDA approved, prescription drugs are the 3rd leading cause of death right behind heart disease and cancer.

Wow, ----- how the vaccine schedule has changed over 26 years! Let me ask you this........

As a country, have we become healthier over this span or sicker?...

Less disease or more?...
Less autism or more?...
Less chronic illness or more?...

Less allergies or more?...Less arthritis or more?...Less cancer or more?...

From 10 vaccines to 36 vaccines for our children~

Default Great Post Kmar!!!

I'd love a shirt to wear like that. Not that I take any of those meds but
what an eye opener. It brings to mind a recent article from a professor Donald light.. read more at

Top professor claims 5 in 6 new medicines have 'little benefit' to patients | Mail Online

Drug companies have been accused of conning the public by hyping up patented medicines with little new to offer while downplaying their potentially harmful side-effects.

A new study estimates that 85 per cent of new drugs offer few if any new benefits while having the potential to cause serious harm due to toxicity or misuse.

The author of the research delivered a damning attack on 'Big Pharma' at a meeting of sociology experts in the US.

'Market for lemons': Professor Donald Light claims that five out of six prescription drugs are not effective

Professor Donald Light described the pharmaceutical industry as a 'market for lemons' - one in which the seller knows much more than the buyer about the product, and takes advantage of this fact.

'Sometimes drug companies hide or downplay information about serious side-effects of new drugs and overstate the drugs' benefits,' said Prof Light, a professor of comparative health policy at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, US.

'Then, they spend two to three times more on marketing than on research to persuade doctors to prescribe these new drugs.

'Doctors may get misleading information and then misinform patients about the risks of a new drug. It's really a two-tier market for lemons.'

He alleged that the pharmaceutical industry owned companies in charge of drug testing and provided 'firewalls' of legal protection behind which information about dangers or lack of effectiveness could be be hidden.

Companies were assisted by the 'relatively low bar' for effectiveness that had to be crossed to get a new drug approved, he claimed.

Prof Light presented his paper, entitled 'Pharmaceuticals: A Two-Tier Market for Producing 'Lemons' and Serious Harm' at the American Sociological Association's annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

Default This about sums it up...

I'd love to have that t-shirt, too. Because of birth control pills, I developed recurring fibroid tumors and had to have a hysterectomy quite young. No kids.
Because of the megace prescribed to shrink the tumors, I developed external skin tumors of a different variety that will continue to recur throughout my life.

8 days ago I pinched a nerve in my shoulder and have been living with it. hoping massage would release it. I finally went to the doctor today, given a referral for PT and scrip for a muscle relaxer and pain meds. I didn't fill them. I'll have a glass of wine to relax the muscles (way more fun anyway) and will slightly increase the OTC ibuprofin. The PT will do a world of good. Maybe I'm causing myself unnecessary suffering, but I really believe now that every pill we take will have a negative effect down the road. Every one of my close friends is on antidepressants. I know these people well; they aren't clinically depressed. One said the doctor prescribed antidepressants because she told him she's 50 and just isn't getting as much out of her marriage as she used to. I know there are people who really must take drugs for whatever reason, but there are a heck of a lot of us who are taking stuff that's truly dangerous unnecessarily. Where is it written that this life is supposed to be without any discomfort? We're turning ourselves into weanies. Oops. Sorry. One of my personal hot buttons.

Hi Soji and X!
There are so many doctors these days that will misdiagnose and prescribe meds some real heavy duty ones unfortunately. my 22yr old son was diagnosed as being bi-polar,the dr had him on at least 4 different heavy duty drugs.that he didn't need because the truth was he never was bi'polar just depressed!so just to prove he was another Quack! our 21 yr old roomie whos like a stepdaughter to me went to the same dr and Lo and Behold she was given the same diagnosis and meds .he had asked her if she had a hard time holding on to her money{what female doesn't) of course she told him yes.so she was labeled the same! What a crock! As a matter of fact he is the same dr whom i was seeking help for my add and post-traumatic stress he actually screamed at me and told me there is no such thing as post traumatic stress yet he wanted me to take ritalin(speed) for my add. seriously i have lost just about every ounce of respect for 98% of my drs. instead of actually trying to reach the root of our problems they just treat surface ailments and its just not going to be enough to really help us at all it might just scratch the surface temporaily but it will always resurface with a vengeance!
We are the force that WILL solve this! i have no doubt about that!
best wishes
Robin
