Default A Good Friend helps you move...

'A good friend helps you move, a good friend helps you move a body'

I made a new friend recently, she's a nurse, a mother of 6 she took me shopping on Thursday. After my bath I was shedding critters, glass spines, like cactus prickles all through my bed, eyebrows and lashes. I couldn't avoid town no grocerys! There's be a mutiny.
She watched me stuff my hands in pockets, started to give me Ma type looks. I told her I couldn't help it, I was crawling. She was just about to tell me not to scratch when I stuck my finger in my ear and out came a blue and white worm. I didn't believe I had this till that shower and bath. I was open to the possibility, she was listening but more dubious than I.
We got to the library and she's avidly watching me. ' Don't freakin move a muscle' She reaches up and takes the black thing she's been watching climb out of my head.
'A good friend helps you move a body'
What do you call a friend willing to do that?

The town trip was also for soda, bleach, specimen containers. Personally I'd like to kill them all, but I can see your point Bam. Especially with this emerging on the other side of the world. And the letters warning me of hellicopter spraying along the railway lines near my house. I didn't like the idea of surrounding myself in bottles. I brought a few of those days of the week pill boxes. They're stackable, boxable and I can put sticky labels on the lids. I have no idea what I'm doing, if you guys will share your techniques for capture and storage, I'll endeavour to be a better entomologist

wow, that is a good friend. most people run away.
they say a good friend will help you move.
a good friend will bail you out of jail, a better friend will be locked up with you.lol..just kidding..
so as a nurse, has she heard of this before? what does she think of it?

That's a good story to hear digit. Lately we have been hearing some good stories. Like the lovely story Belle related about her nice husband yesterday. Now you tell us about a friend who goes above and beyond to help you. Shop. Get through the day. Survive. Accepts this and you. Unconditionally.

What a good idea you had for the specimen containers. You sound a very organized person. I think we have had a couple kiwis here in the past and some aussies too. I hope it's not a trend for that part of the world though, none of us do.

its gonna be the nurses, the doctors, the curious that will figure this thing out, i think i may know whats caused mine. proof in the pudding though, once im have no breakouts for at least a year, then ill say im cured. but im getting much better now we changed the carpet, peeled wallper and painted, deep cleaning of this house, keeping on top of it as best as i can. its not a thing for the faint of heart or the lazy, it takes a lot of strength to keep on top of this!! but its the curious nurse, is gonna be the curious regular person that will put 2 and 2 together until its 4...
dont trust anybody that tells you you for sure have morgellongs, there is no test for it just yet. be very leary of people selling products that dont have a moneyback garuntee..

Default sticky packing tape....

the clear plastic type.... not the opaque brown paper kind. In desperation it can be used to remove the "glass prickles" if you don't have enzymes or vinegar.Just have a few short pieces handy bedside for when you get bit.... and slap it on the bite area....But it is an excellent method to capture and remove the Prick-lies and get some immediate relief as well as preserve the Specimen for examining later.... using a jeweler's loupe or a microscope.... Does anyone remember Nickelodian Brand 100x digital microscopes (for children) with the usb plugs and video capture and creation feature.... wow... maybe a e-bay search is in order.

Smile A good friend helps you move

Hey Digit,

I heard of a person who puts the critters in glass specimen type bottles and then keeps them in the freezer

That's all I know about the above. Wish I could be more help.

I dunno about organised, If I was organised I wouldn't have stood on the Mothership at bathtime.
I was just trying to minimize the 'ick factor'.
Gator there's no way the kids will handle me using the freezer. Shoulda seen them yak when I started storing blood worms for the Betta's.
Sticky tape's a good idea. I use it for the real cactus prickles when gardening. Either my tweezers are useless or they're fighting back. My collection began with a few bits masquerading as eyebrows today.
