| Hi Terri, I see you went to a Dermatologist who gave you Orap? Lost cause there. Now you've been checked by an ID doctor for Lyme disease. If you'll do a back- ground check on IDSA, it is clear that their agenda is to underdiagnose, under- treat, and ignore the strong evidence for chronic Lyme disease. One of their favor- ite maneuvers is to use in house Lyme testing that is skewed to miss most, well over 50%, all Lyme infections. The ELISA test is misleading at best. Worse than worthless. The two Western Blots done by IgeneX are the best. They specialize in Lyme testing. The Lyme bacteria is tenacious, cunning, and darn hard to kill. A Lyme literate doctor, preferably a member of ILADS, is ones best hope, unless you try the herbal route, which does work if you stay with it. Best wishes on your success. | John~ Thank you for posting just now. I never met you online here because I think you were here before me ('07) but I have read your post about how you were cured. I hope you will bring that back to the forefront to help the new members who might not have seen your info. (Nice to meet you ;-) I am glad you wrote what you did above also. Speaking of IDSA (The Infectious Disease Society of America is a group of 8,000 doctors that sets the generally accepted medical standards for about 50 infectious diseases.) I have something to bring up which I had posted about last year. I believe that the IDSA had set the standard testing to exclude MACroscopic forms of Lyme. I know from research that the Lyme 'spirochete' which is the main identifiable organism for Lyme testing is not the only stage which can be seen, yet they only look for that. I personally have isolated tiny 'thread-like' organisms from feces which, under the scope look EXACTLY like the pics on 'lymepictures.com' and for the life of me I cannot find the person or persons who own that website to find out how they know the pics are that of Lyme....unfortunately.
