| Yello, all~~~ ANOTHER one of my hunches validated by Mr. Goog: ![]() There seems to be a connection between herpes and fungus (actually fungus and EVERYTHING IMO....) So I googled and here is one link amongst many making the association. I think this might be important in our quest for figgering this thing out. Herpes simplex I lesion infected with fungus: resolution of mixed infections. Kritts Last edited by Kritters; October 1st, 2009 at 10:07 PM. |

| Hi Kritts, as you posted this I did a search on it, but could only find, just like you, that herpes 'outbreaks' are often infected by fungus..actually a co-infection to herpes..but I couldn't find any relationship with herpes being directly associated to fungus. But maybe I'll stumble on to some more information..keep lookin'.. Kat |

| Hi Terri good to hear from you! Thanks for bringing that post out of the trashbin! LOL...Hey Katink~ Yes I agree there is no direct association other than stating a co-infection is common. But (pssst ) between you and I, I don't have a major comfort level in what science has discovered yet when it comes to critters, so I like to explore my own hunches and see where they go. My not being a micro-biologist or scientist of any kind is a slight hindrance but that's what is good about the internet~ we can learn from other's who are. Actually my first post did say my hunch is validated, so that was wrong and I take that back. It was only validated in that there is an association at all. But they know so little about the Herpes virus and its many forms still that I'm guessing it's more complex than they either realize or want to let out. Just my skepticism working, thaaaas all. Could be they already had a connection BEFORE the lesions. Could be the fungus is part of Herpes itself. Could be that the virus is hooking up with Herpes in order to proliferate just as it does with other organisms. love to you and Terri Kritts |

![]() Little is known in the scientific/medical world about herpes and it's many, many forms, so you could be right about your 'hunch'.. I also think M is linked to herpes too..as I believe it has the capability to dock onto cells and hide just like herpes. Just my mind goin' crazy here...guess I'll have some wine to unwind a little.. ![]() love right back at ya! Kat |
