I am starting to loose weight, it may be from hard work, greif, eating less, but that does not seem possible. I have only lost weight once before like this, that was about 1990 or so. It seems 15 pounds has just up and disapered. The sign I feel is not such a good one, this affect, happens to many with cancer. The body feels drained of energy the mind clouded, is this what happens when this thing morphs. Is this why the body wastes. I am seeing a change in the areas the lesions occupied before, they are shrinking and indenting on the face and body. I have been taking the strong bakeing soda baths and they do affect all the surface underskin involvments, ALWAYS, but I fear there is more at hand. How many of you have had alot of weight loss lately or for that matter at any time?

I WISH, Baraka! I hope your indentations are just because the body fat is no longer there to fill it in??? Also, maybe you're losing the inflammation as well? Let's hope for the positive o fearless! Kritts

I lost a good chunk of weight (40lbs).. over 4 months? and right now, I still haven't stopped losing and I'm not really trying to lose. It's just that my diet had to change drastically due to candida - I am eating organic as much as possible, no sugar or white flour, and very few carbs. I am also doing far infrared saunas and colonics, which are also helping take the lbs away... so, I suppose mine is explainable (I hope)! I am also gaining energy.. which I guess is good. I hope my weight stops dropping soon.. I wouldn't mind losing a few more lbs, but pretty soon, I will be too thin. The fact that your lesions are shrinking - isn't that a good sign? Have you made any other changes in your regimen is the last month? I don't necessarily think it has to be a bad thing. I feel that as I am healing and detoxing, my thyroid function and hormone levels are slowly improving, which has a positive effect on the metabolism.

Hi BO, didn't you mention once to me that you were working hard on your property lately and also spending time at the beach swimming? I have also noticed that it's normal to lose weight in the summer time...and hey! maybe the baking soda baths are detoxing your body and you're losing 'water' too? Just a thought... Kat

| BO, are you having loose stools? If you are this sudden weight loss may be tied into your spleen function. I am fairly sure with this disease that most of us have lymphatic issues of some sort. It could be your spleen, especially if you are not very hungry. At any rate any sudden large weight loss should be diagnosed to rule out serious issues. Cancer may not be the only reason for weight loss and to know how to proceed it is probably best to know what you are dealing with. Diabetes can do this too. If you are very thirsty you might suspect some blood sugar issues. Katinka has a point about weight loss in the summer (the heart is the dominant organ system in TCM in the summer which makes it easier for the body to lose weight), but given your other symptoms of fatigue and brain fog, if it were I, I would have it checked out. I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well though. tcm

BO...a question: What period of time have you seen a loss of weight? Are you eating better than before? (ok..2 questions ;-) I once dropped 3 sizes in 3 months just by eliminating most fat and all sugar from my diet. You've been really working out a lot and as you gain muscle, you burn more calories. I hope when you get checked out, this will be the reason you lost weight. Kritts
