| I have a theory, too. My theory is this: Morgellons is the most evil thing that has ever afflicted the planet. It is derived from one of three things - made by evil men, demonic, or off-planet. It's primary "infection" is elusive, and no one has nailed it. But it CAUSES everything that everyone thinks it is ... all the mites, nematodes, larva, fungus, stealth viruses, bacteria, mycoplasma, plastic fibers, black specks, etc, that have been found and thought to be associated with Morgellons. But more than the physical, it eats away a person's humanity. It takes the dreams, loves, plans, futures, peace, fortunes, homes, loved ones, pets, families...everything that makes life worth living. And that speaks to its PURPOSE, the reason it is here among us, eating us up. It gets played out here in these forums as well as in our personal lives away from the internet. Here is the question and the challenge: are you going to give into it's machinations, competing with each other, turning on each other, and allowing it to get the upper hand? Get above this thing. We wary, of course, but don't pre-judge and destroy. When you do that, you are letting the monster dictate how you will act. Don't let it. Don't feed it. Be humble and realize that you can look and you can guess, but you can't really know. Let others have their thoughts....and remember - the Greatest of These is Love. SS |

| Source of the name sarotha, which is often used to describe the herb scotch broom. Interestingly it was reputed to drive off witches in the middle ages. Broom / Sarothamnus scoparius syn. Cytisus scoparius / Common Broom / Genista / Irish Broom / Link / Scotch Broom Information. The phrase, "eye of Newt", originates with Shakespeare as does "blasphemous Jew." Many people in those times were anti-Semitic. Still I think assuming Sarotha made anti-Semetic remarks is making a mountain out of a molehill. I just went back and re-read Sarotha's post to which you refer. She made her remark after I had posted the entire scene with the witches (including the famous witches' speech) from MacBeth. This was a joking response to the post she had made about her witches brew (her words) where in passing she also remarked she had thought about adding eye of newt, but was out of it. A joke only. It appeared to me that she was only joking in her original post which had alluded to Shakespeare when she was discussing her herbal brew and then she just continued it in her second post (which she made in response to mine). When did we all lose the ability to laugh and find the need to take affront at everything which is meant only as passing fun and involved a famous literary allusion? Why take it seriously? Life is too short. The way things are going perhaps we will have to burn MacBeth to end the discussion. We could, but the world would lose a great work of art.

| PLEASE!!! Let's stop with this?? WE are dragging ALL other Morgie family members here down too!! l WE must not let that happen! ALL of us hold a piece of this huge 'puzzle' we are trying to solve...all of us...and everyone here has brought in precious contributions according this disease. No one is negleted for his/her theories...because I truly believe that each one of us is probably right in some way. YES, Fungi, YES, Bacteria, YES, Nano, YES, Nematodes, YES, Worms... These are parts of Morgellons Disease...all of them..for some more..for some people here less!! It seems to show different 'forms'...we know that, don't we? So, please let us stop arguing about subjects or theories...stop fighting each other...it is needless and ugly!! This evil disease is trying to take over our mind...makes us feel sad..makes us lose our temper and compassion for others!! Please, all of you here, do not let this disease win and rule over us!! We need to fight these evil spirits surrounding us!! We need to stay strong! You all know here, how much I just love my 'little Morgie Family' as I have said this many times and I wish to apologize here and now..in public...for hurting anyone's feelings here!! I'm sorry!! And I truly appreciate the support and care shown towards us, Kam and me, very much. Thank you! You are wonderful people! Katinka Last edited by Katinka; June 26th, 2009 at 02:44 PM. |

I am a very spiritual person, but I do love to joke around. I have several Jesus jokes that are really hilarious but I won't go there. I'm in enough trouble as it is. BTW, it's Sarothra not Sarotha. Sarothra is a flower of the genus Hypericum. I love flowers and love the folk names for flowers, so I call myself Sarothra. (it's in the order of Pineweed or St. John's wort). Herbarium by Genus: gentianoides - The Linnean Collections Oh, what the heck. I feel like offending Unitarians. I have to tell a joke, because we certainly need some levity here. Do you know why Unitarians can't sing? Because they are always reading ahead in the hymnal to see if they agree with it. sar Last edited by sarothra; June 27th, 2009 at 04:20 AM. |

| Saro....That was really funny! ![]() Thanks for trying to lift this back up. (This thread should have been locked after the problems began in the first few posts) Now that everyone has had their say and given explanations and clarifications... we can move on. Kritts |

| Yes, it is good if we can laugh at ourselves. I think that is what I miss from my childhood, living in the New York area. There were always jokes about other people's countries or religions. New York has always had so many people trying to live and get along together as immigrants. Mostly people, even people from the country folks were joking about, would laugh too. Then they would promptly turn the tables and joke about the person telling the joke and his country of origin. Anyway it was how we became Americans and stopped speaking the language from the old country. Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone. I think that too many people have forgotten that we need to joke and laugh about differences. In some ways that enables us to move beyond them to some sort of consensus of unity. Sorry Sarothra, about leaving the letter r out and getting the wrong herb. ![]()

Did you hear about the guy who got a cell phone for the first time...His wife called him and said "Honey, look out.!! There's an idiot driving the wrong way on the freeway." He said "There's not just one....there's HUNDREDS of them!!!" sar |
