2nd Annual Rolling Like Thunder and website

A new website - "Morgellons Rolling Like Thunder" is up, though still under construction:

Laur (Cheetah), who used to post on LB, put this together with the help of Abate bike club.

Last year, Laur ran a very successful event (by the same name), by appealing for volunteers from the biker community in Ogden. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of Morgellons, and funds for continued research.
When Laur started working on the event again this year, she asked for the assistance of the bike club, "Abate". This proved to be a wonderful alliance, and the site developed naturally as an extension of the project.

This year's bike event, to take place on August 15, will be bigger and better than last year, with several activities planned.
I won't go into everything - go to the site and read up on it!!
In addition to the 2nd Annual MRLT, the site maintains a calendar of events (anywhere), a blog, information about Morgellons, and more.

Send any comments or questions you might have via the contact link on the website. They would love to know of any events that may be planned, ideas, etc. These events, such as the CDC rally planned for Sept, the Tampa Support Group meeting, etc, will go up on the calendar if the organizer(s) request it.

I know how much work has gone into this and want to thank Laur (and Cindy, from Abate) for all their hard work. It has inspired me to try to use the site as a model for a Florida-based site with related activities.

Just thought I'd refresh this thread, because I think that what is happening in Ogden is very important to the Morgellons effort.
I know this is somewhat repetitive, but this site/event can serve as something to strive for in other states.
It took a long time for Lyme to get the recognition and acceptance that it has, but it didn't just materialize. It happened through grass roots efforts and the development of several Lyme-related organizations and a united spirit.

A slight modification in the name of the new website and fund raising event in August has been made.

One of the topics on the forum there relates to a subject that has come up on MDR, that of developing regional groups.

I am hoping that anyone who is interested in organizing something in their own area for August 15 would come to that site and join. The reason for attempting to organize it there is because the site is dedicated to community activism, and it would be a convenient place to develop plans.

I will re-post this on another thread, so that it doesn't get "lost" in all the activity on this site.
