| I thought this article very interesting regarding the bacteria we have on our skin. While everyone knows we have a ton, there seems to be almost personalized bacteria! Discovery Channel :: News - Animals :: Bacterial 'Zoo' Thrives on Human Skin "An inspiring or sobering thought: As adults we have 10 times more microbial cells than human cells, and perhaps 100 times more genes embedded in the genomes of our microbial partners than in our own human genome." "Blaser and his team next plan to study people who suffer from skin diseases, such as psoriasis or eczema, to see if they possess different microbes than those found on people with healthy skin." This could have SO MANY implications in health! Could it be why more women than men get Morgellons? (or is it just that we're more intelligent? ![]() only kidding, men out there) Vellly vellly interesting.Kritts |
