| Hello to everyone. I have had to have a lot of testing done this week, as I am going to have a hysterectomy maybe next week. It has come to my ob's attention a sonogram that was taken about a year and a half ago, of my abdomen, due to severe abdominal pain. Well, of course all the tests, including an endoscopy, all came back "negative". Although the gastro-enterologist told me he found several black spots in my stomach, because he biopsied them, and nothing showed up, they were negative. He blamed it on smoking.......... The sonogram on my abdomen wasn't however "negative", as the technician noted that my aorta was dilated 2cms. I never heard anything from the doc about it, but after requesting my records, found it myself. A few months ago while I was visiting him for a routine office visit. I had asked him for something for energy, as I had none. He wanted to do a vitamin test for B-1 before prescribing anything....and guess what? I was severely deficient!! So now I have to take monthly injections of B-1, and B-12, plus large amounts of vitamin D, and many others that 2many recommended after studying my lab results and symptoms. As always 2many, thank you.....for I have indeed gotten so much better since starting your suggested regimen. Anyway, I was what I thought, reminding him of my enlarged aorta. Well, he said I didn't have one.......wrong!! I told him that I did indeed have an enlarged aorta on a test that he himself had ordered, and he found it....and apologised for not already knowing. Then he was concerned about it, and wanted to do a follow up. Long story shortened a bit. My ob had read all my tests results, and before performing the hysterectomy, wanted to evaluate the enlarged aorta, and ordered a complete echocardiogram, plus chest x-rays, an ekg, and a host of blood tests. He told me Monday that an enlarged aorta was a major sign of a syndrome called "Marfan Syndrome". This may or may not apply to any of you.....but it is a life-threatening disease left un-treated. With proper monitoring and treatment of symptoms people with this syndrome have an average life expectancy, although it often requires heart/and or abdominal surgery to repair the damaged aorta. I am thinking this is what killed John Ritter, at the age of 53, but as a result of his autopsy, saved his brothers life. I am not suggesting this is what Morgellons is....by any means. But what I have found is it does cover many symptoms associated with Morgellons. I have not been definitively diagnosed with this yet, as we are waiting on the test results. It covers so many symptoms that I have had for my entire life, that it has had me in panic attack mode for two days now....thank God for xanax!! I am just posting this for your information, and because of the absolute impending death, usually in the 30's or 40's, if left untreated. I almost know that I have had at least one undiagnosed heart attack, about 7 or 8 years ago. Just by the grace of God that I lived through it to be here relating this information, if the doctors suspicions are true. Please read past the first information....as alot of you would tend to look at the first few symptoms and say...well, I don't have that!! There are several different criteria for diagnosing this disease!! My mind is leaning toward a parasitic infection, with bacteria and fungus to boot for Morgellons Disease. I know in my heart that I do indeed have this "malady" as some here call it, I call it the "plague". But I truly do, and always have known that different people have different differential problems associated with Morgellons. Love and prayers to you all!!
