So Kritts, Carla, do you think there is any hope now for us as well? Since besides Kaiser Permanente doing the Morgellons study the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology is also involved with it? It sounds somewhat hopeful to me if this story which is breaking soon holds any water at all. Just a partial clear snapshot of Morgellons would be a breakthrough for us, as I feel it could lead to some decent research in the future which might even have some real funding behind it.

Now this is too much TC.. you are a virtual LIBRARY INTELLIGENCIAMONE! (I just made that word up...tee hee) I've got Under the Tuscan Sun on now to sooth me a bit. I'm also drinking a martini with fresh squeezed lemon/lime to get me through the rest of the day. I'm not ashamed. I stand proud and my life is open to the world and I don't give a rat's arse. (It'll probably become more evident in about a half hour when I get another)

Check out my response to you then right after. What I wonder is how THIS particular vein of govt institutions seems (suspiciously) sympathetic to causes. Don't buy it. Something's amiss.

Honestly I do think that AFIP could have a large number of lesion slides (not just of the skin as I say in that post above). As with anything bureaucratic it is quite possible they have vast collections of dusty files almost no one ever thinks about again. Whether anyone has ever used the information they have collected in any useful way remains the question I think. I envision this place, which seems to be run partially by civilians and partially by the armed forces, as something similar to the place where heirloom seeds are saved. The information may prove to be useful at some later date, but may not be used right now, just as hopefully the seeds rest in place to save civilization at some later date.

Anyway, glad you are enjoying your martini. It reminds me of the James Bond books. Wish I could join you for one.

TC... have you ever watched the old movie series "the Thin Man"?
This lends all credibility and validation to people who investigate and drink at the same time to keep sanity of sorts by the end of the day. William Powell and Myrna Loye... some thing just never change. Cool is just...cool. I drink red wine usually, but the 'politically correct' will find that the real benefit is in the alcohol itself. The red wine only has the bioflavinoids... which we can get from eating the grapes. The real deal is the alcohol. ;-) Plus my teeth and tongue stay whiter. Good news is that the ridged edges of my tongue are hardly there which... I know I don't have to tell you is indicative of some disease...liver or something. Plus it's an antibiotic. Add the lemon lime and voila! ya gotchyerself a healthtini.

What do you mean, you can't join me? It's 6:54 here. It's got to be 5 o'clock somewhere!
