| Here's an article noting that the CDC is using duct tape to seal a bioterror lab door to supposedly prevent deadly bacteria from escaping. I know the building is located in Atlanta, but while even true rednecks can do a lot of things with duct tape, I don't think even a redneck would be dumb enough to trust duct tape to "seal" off a deadly bacteria. The article also discusses how taxpayer money has been totally wasted by incompetence in the building of this laboratory with several of the "sealed" rooms not even being functional. And we have to trust these people to solve the Morgellons puzzle? CDC seals bioterror bugs – with duct tape |

| Carla – what’s really sad is that this story isn’t a joke (but our federal government including the CDC is a really bad joke). Rednecks know how valuable duct tape can be, but I think the CDC using it as a “seal” against deadly bacteria is just a bit too much, even for a redneck – of course if could be really high grade, specialty duct tape that the government purchased under a defense contract for $50,000 a roll (kinda like the $2000 hammers and the $20,000 toilets that our brilliant government employees have purchased in the past). Kritts – there is a brand of duct tape called “Duck Tape” (you can find it at Walmart). Maybe the kid in this picture grew up and is now working for the CDC (and may explain why it's called "duck tape"): boortz.com: More Boortz Redneck Scrap Book Or maybe the CDC hired these brain-trusts from some our institutions of higher learning including MIT: Duct Tape Fashion Gallery Five Or the CDC probably paid a large contracting fee to some of these duct tape engineers shown here (car repair with duct tape): Welcome to the Duct Tape BodyShop |

| Hey, now watch it Carla, that remark resembles me, and another redneck or two around here......... (not the redneck who started this thread of course, but for us others this could be a little painful)!!!! I can't get all of the smilies on this part of the forum, I was going to use the one where it's kinda got it's nose in the air, like it had been offended .You know I am playing and love ya dearly!! 2many, I have seen vehicles in the south that were literally going down the road held together by "duck" tape . This is shameful, and VERY frightening. What will be next? Wait!!!........don't answer that!!! I have actually been in a fairly good mood today. LOLKritts, you are a hoot!!! I hope you are all doing well. I went back to the doc yesterday and he changed my protocol, I am on one of Ginger Savely's now.......but this isn't the right thread for all that. I will make a post to fill you all in.Niecy xoxoxoxo

| Carla, I think some say we would not have advance notice of an attack or time to seal ourselves in a "safe" room with the tape. And I don't know if anyone is really certain sheets of plastic and duct tape would be sufficient to seal out bioweapons before they cause illness or radiation fallout from a room. It may prove to be similar to putting criss crosses of duct tape on windows prior to hurricanes along with sheets of plastic duct taped to window edges in hopes it will keep out water if the window(s) break. Good in theory, but it may not hold if the hit is direct or close to it. |
