| "The Massachusetts Mandated Health Insurance Law The New Health Insurance Law. Key provisions of the law include subsidized health insurance for residents earning less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, and low-cost insurance for all other residents who are not eligible for insurance through their employers. As of July 1, 2007 all residents will be required to maintain health insurance. For a two-person family earning $39,600 per year, their cost will be $212 a month Add $20-$28 per month for each child. Beginning on January 1, 2008, uninsured people will be subject to penalties of roughly $150 a month." ..................................... I believe that health insurance coverage is great to have, but I don't know anyone who could afford to tack on an extra $212 a month to their expenses. "The board of the Connector can make exceptions if it finds that an individual's circumstances make coverage unaffordable." hmmmm

| Well throw me in jail already! How many "insurance" cops (paid from tax money) will it take. Our federal government sucks. How many prisoners do they want to take? At least in prison you get free medical care...insurance you can count on. How come cash in the bank isn't enough to pay for medical treatment when needed. Let "freedom smiley" ring! bullshit smiley (my smileys aren't working and I'm not smiling either). In the white light, ~jonsi
