| Vital Choice is the company from which I buy canned salmon. This newlestter is something I think anyone who is interested in seafood will want to read, especially since the king salmon fishing in California has collapsed. Also the connection of a diet high in starch to cancer, heart disease and diabetes is interesting reading, since a high glycemic diet also seems to effect parasites, encouraging reproduction: http://newsletter.vitalchoice.com/index000247376.cfm

| Hey TC, Jennie Brand-Miller looks like Demi Moore! ![]() Anyway.........do you know why the California salmon has collapsed? Disease? Parasite? I used to eat a ton of Salmon. I didn't know until too late to stay away from the farmed salmon. As far as the glycemic implications, nothing new under the sun, right? Sugar is acid. Acidic environment offers parasites a vacation in the sun. xoxo Kritts |

| Hi Kritts, Here's a couple websites which discuss the collapse of salmon fishing along the West Coast: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl.../MNSLVHTM5.DTL http://edition.cnn.com/2008/US/01/29....ap/index.html You are right, nothing new about the watch your carbs message in this newletter. Still it is good for us to hear I guess, what with the Easter bunny about to arrive. tcmxxx

| hmmmm, I was just thinking about salmon. I ate alot salmon last summer. Could it be that the salmons are harbouring these aquatic organisms Sarothra and Kammy are talking about. Or what about the sponge? I read on another post here..someone said he/she got Morgellons Disease after eating fish? Fish do have parasites..worms. Just a thought. Katinka |
